Near Acadia-Bar Harbor Spectacular views of Acadia National Park & Frenchman's Bay from every room! This modern, 2,450 sf home that is sunny & bright with an open layout. The house was built in 2019 and the basement was completed, with upgraded finishes, in 2022. Relax around the fire table after a day exploring the private rocky shorefront, or Acadia National Park. Close to Bar Harbor & everything you need but you may just want to hang out and enjoy the peace & quiet. We are usually quite prompt by email or text whenever we are awake (6:30 am to 9:30 pm most days). We love talking about Acadia and all its natural and manmade treasures, so we always enjoy interacting with guests. We can direct you to enjoy the area like a local, no matter what you like to do, and we always love hearing about gems our guests find that we have not discovered. Although we try to think of everything, people’s needs change, and we are always looking to improve the experience. We have our have our own very private, rocky beach. We are also walking distance to a town beach and park. We often tell people that if they walk the beach everyday, they “may” see a few other people. You can search for sea glass along our shoreline. The roads in the area also create a nice 2-mile loop that is fairly flat which is great for walking, jogging or biking. Blunt's Pond, a lovely clean freshwater pond for swimming, is a short 3-mile drive. You will have full access to everything in the house but one owner's closet. You can store bikes in the garage but no vehicles. It is generally off limits unless you need something to restock the house. GENERAL: Free Wi-Fi (high speed), central A/C, washer/dryer, laundry detergent, board games, children’s books, baby jogging stroller, booster seat, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, ceiling fans in all bedrooms & living rooms, radiant floor heating (in basement) SECURITY: External security cameras (around perimeter, facing out) PARKING: Off-street parking, no RVs or commercial vehicles A car is a necessity . if you are getting a rental, please realize that both Bangor and Bar Harbor are very small airports and the counter may be closed when you arrive so PLEASE check beforehand. Rental car availability has also been difficult lately so if you need a rental, book soon. Biking is good near our house and fantastic in the park on the Carriage Roads. We strongly recommend renting the electric-assist bikes. The house is also equipped with a "Juice Box" EV charger. After 30 years of renting our little old cottage, we built a brand new, maintenance-free, home using all the experience we have gained over the years. Many have commented that the layout is perfect for a vacation rental and we hope you will feel the same. The basement suite is perfect for multigenerational travelers or two families traveling together. Cleanliness is a top priority, thus all linens are professionally cleaned off-site and beds are triplesheeted for additional comfort and protection. It was perfect for us. Light and bright and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with and the beds super comfortable. And since there were only four of us (my husband and two teenagers) we each had our own space. The view of the water was gorgeous and so calming. We spent time on the deck everyday and enjoyed the new firepit. The drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor was about 30-35 minutes but I didn't mind it at all, as it was nice to stay in a quiet neighborhood. The owner Tom was super responsive, provided great recommendations and a helpful online manual for the house and the area. It's always great to rent from someone who really loves the area and is proud to share his home. Would definitely recommend this property. ##### Maha K. It was sparkling clean with new appliances and super comfy beds. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit just outside the living room, as well as the natural gas-fueled outdoor BBQ grill. Location was great - about a half hour to Bar Harbor. On the way back one day we picked up some steamed lobsters and brought them home for dinner. What a feast! The owner was the absolute best communicator I’ve had with VRBO and I’ve stayed in quite a few. Lots of space, great views, friendly people. We were there to hike Acadia and see bar harbor. Easy drive to both. We were two adults and five grown kids ages 19-24\. Would absolutely recommend! ##### Traci T. Great location for acadia National Park. Beautiful setting for the home. The house was new, clean and super stocked. So well stocked, I thought we were in the wrong house, momentarily. We xisited the park daily and ate lobster nightly. Shout out to Ruth and Wimpy's Restaurant and the Happy Clam for take out. ##### Donald S. The home is spotless, in a location that is super easy to find and loaded with extra amenities. It's got an amazing view across the bay of the mountains in Acadia National Park. Beautiful views of the water, very quiet neighborhood. We sat on the back deck around the firepit every night.
