No hot water for that matter, not even soap, the bathroom door didn't close (not just the lock; it just stayed wide open), the temperature in the room could not be changed I could go on, but it was really bad. "We had a wonderful stay at Serena Boutique Hotel in Aguas Buenas and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Puerto Rican experience. From the moment we arrived, Ricardo made us feel incredibly welcome. He was always around the property, working hard to keep everything running smoothly and making sure guests were comfortable. His wife, Gloria, was also wonderful—she prepared fresh breakfast every morning, and it was always delicious. One of the things we loved most about this place is how tucked away it is. It’s far from the busy city areas, which makes the experience feel unique and authentic. Even the drive there feels like you’re stepping into a different side of Puerto Rico. The property itself is beautiful, and you can really see how much care Ricardo puts into maintaining it. If I could give one tip to future guests, it would be to rent a car if possible. If you stay out late in San Juan or other areas, it can be very difficult to get a Lyft or Uber to drive up to the property, as many drivers decline the trip. Ricardo is very kind and willing to help, but since it’s a small family running the hotel, we didn’t want to bother him late at night. The only small thing we noticed was that some of the tiles could be a little slippery, especially since it rained quite a bit during our stay. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Overall, this was one of the best experiences we’ve had staying anywhere. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic"

"Superb property in every way. Great to stay away from the hustle and bustle of San Juan.The ocean view was incredible and the waves lulled us to sleep every night. The ocean breeze kept us cool night and day, but it was great to have the air conditioning in each bedroom.The beach was wonderful. Just a five minute walk and then a gorgeous expanse with lush greenery. We had small children, and we were pleased to see that there was an area of the beach that was surrounded by some rocks that made the perfect place to play with the kids.The pool area was lovely as well and very private. Perfect for the little ones. The house is well stocked those like us we want to cook. There is an extra refrigerator. And having a washer and dryer available was a real plus for our family. Elizabeth our host was gracious in every way. This vacation property ranks at the very top for us of all of our Many trips. P.S. don’t ignore Elizabeth’s recommendation on where to get the best piña colada with the best view in the area."
