Always greeted warmly by the staff, rooms have all you need for a stay and are very clean with good amenities. Barcarea is great for a relaxing drink after a day at work or after exploring the city
Location just outside of the City, but right next to a metro and training stock. Very comfortable.

Room was clean and well put together. The bed was a little hard/ squeaky but still good for a few nights stay. Good location near tram and a number of restaurants and cafes. Breakfast that I had included in my stay price was delicious and the dining room was quaint. Overall solid stay, would recommend.
Basic hotel with minimal amenities. The building is older, but maintained. Location is excellent, right near tram and busses, easy 40 min walk to old town, (or catch the tram.) Breakfast was good, typical UK breakfast.
Really enjoyed our stay and most of the staff was very helpful. We stayed at the beginning and end of trip. The second time we were out on the second floor and had difficulty getting g our luggage up all the stairs. We were two ladies in our sixties and felt there should have been someone in staff to do that. That was our only complaint. We really enjoyed our stay otherwise
Location, comfort, cleanliness, staff assistance - all are outstanding! We didn't use breakfast or bar to be honest.
We loved this hotel and hope to return. The location is really excellent, being really near rail, tram and bus connectio
ns - so both Royal Mile and Inverness (or anywhere) are at hand - there is a handy cute pub and walk to many restaurants.
A tiny niggling improvement could be - better instant coffee in the rooms.
Breakfast was very nice but a little cramped. Service for breakfast was really good but a bit slow. Very nice bar in the evening too. Employees were very nice. I'd stay there again.
The hotel is cute and clean and close to the bus line, but this might not be the hotel for you if youre a light sleeper. The windows must stay open at night for air circulation, and unfortunately you can hear every single car, bus, bump outside your window.

Spacious and nice for the most part. We were surprised we had a little patio which was nice. However, we didn’t get the room that was in the picture. That was the main thing that bothered me. The drains are also not very good. Our shower was always on the edge of flooding. Besides that, it was great.
Nice older hotel in a good location. Easy access to public transportation. Large rooms.
On complaint is the beds. The mattresses were not comfortable. Felt like a few inches of foam over plywood.
Terrific location, great hotel, comfy room, nice and clean.
Helpful and kind staff.
Building is a bit outdated but overall well maintained.
Just a step off Haymarket station, tram and buses services.
Plenty of food options around.
