Please note the garage has been converted into a game room and is not available for vehicle parking. The road includes switchbacks and loose gravel, which can make access difficult and unsafe for many motorcycles.
Winter note (late Nov – late Feb): The last 0.5 mile is a steep, unpaved private road, with two switchbacks, (please take wide turns). 4WD/AWD strongly recommended; chains or snow tires may be required during/after heavy storms. Our private snowplow comes once we reach 3" of snow. You can always buy chains at the locals stores and return them unused.
Winter Weather & Snow Storm Disclosure (Although we have never had this happen in the last four years of the start of our business, I will usually notify you before a snow storm impacts the area to give advice about the area and roads) Like many mountain town locations, this property can experience significant winter weather. During the winter season, a major snowstorm may temporarily impact your ability to leave the house or travel on local roads for a day (or longer) until roads are cleared and conditions improve.
We recommend:
Checking local weather forecasts and road conditions regularly during your stay Planning for the possibility of being homebound for a period if a major storm hits Having appropriate vehicles/tires (AWD/4WD recommended) and supplies on hand
This is a normal part of mountain living in winter and is disclosed so you can plan accordingly. We are not responsible for weather-related travel delays or the inability to leave the property during/after storms. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about winter conditions in the area!
