Walking in the front door, you get a feel of what it might have been like over 125 years ago when the house was built. The stain glass windows and the old staircase really give the house character. Once inside the unit, there is nothing old. Everything has been updated with modern finishes and colors. You don't even realize the age of the home! The location is very convenient to getting around Duluth. We stayed 2 nights and the only problem we had was on the second night, after one of the hottest days of the year in Duluth (well over 90 degrees), this 3rd floor unit would not cool off. We had all 3 cooling units running all day and into the evening, but the temperature would not go below 80 degrees inside. Fortunately there were 2 large oscillating fans there were in the closet for us to use while sleeping, but it was not enough relief. The condo was perfectly located and walking distance to a grocery store and two pharmacies, plus an awesome oottke coffee shop and a plethora of quality food options. The condo was newly renovated, clean and very comfortable (even had heated floors?!). Everything you need and nothing you don't. We were able to bring our pup for an extra $75, which was awesome. All for a price comparable to a hotel, but higher quality and more private with a kitchen. Really appreciated the courtesy call from the office a couple of hours in advance of check in, when they accommodated a slightly earky arrival (a saving grace).
