The people we met at stores and church and restuarants were friendly and helpful. Our host Swanson Brown was attentive by WhatsApp to answer questions and make suggestions. « Barbara’s house is very old-time comfortable with ample big furniture, plenty of storage, big kitchen, lots of equipment, good AC, and she communicates quickly with any questions you have. Even though it is on the main road, it is set back and quiet. The beach is a bit away, and the view from the house is basically water, but it is very private. If I were to suggest any improvements it would be to brighten up the place with some color, and update where needed. Also, some written directions...

The property is full of history, having been part of the Rock Sound Club started by Arthur Vining Davis. Karen has done an absolutely remarkable job renovating this part of the property - everything from the flooring to the landscaping, interior design...it was all so clean and looked new. « Great vacation It's our second time in Winding Bay. Best house we stayed. The house is lovely, bed is very comfortable, kitchen well supplied, kayaks, paddle board. Nice and long beach, very quiet. Many groceries close, fresh fish at Tarpum bay dock and a local vendor for fruits and vegetables at Tarpum Bay. We discoverd a very good restaurant in Rock Sound, The Wild Orchid, reasonable prices and very good food. We want to Thank Chris, he is very easygoing and pleasant. We will come back....
