Oceanfront Cottage Near Restaurant, Stores

  • Sand Dollar Cottage is situated on a Caribbean-side waterfront lot with beautiful sunset views. Located within the Four Points Marina Village Development, this new cottage has 1,100 square feet of indoor living space and 1,200 square feet of wrap-around decks. Sand Dollar Cottage has 2 king bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Sand Dollar has a single rollaway bed for additional guests. There is also a powder room off the living room. The spacious living room has seating for 8 and a flat-screen TV. The modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances.

    Amenities include WIFI, cable TV, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor gas grill.

    Wild Orchid Waterfront Restaurant is located a short 2 minute walk away and Sand Dollar is conveniently located within walking distance to the main shopping plaza with a fully stocked supermarket, liquor store and an international commercial bank. Your boat can anchor just off Four Points where there is a dinghy dock.

    Because so many guests are working remotely these days, we recently increased the speed of the service at Sand Dollar to 105mb/s!

    Please note that while you CAN swim and snorkel behind the house, the water there is a bay, not a beach.

This is a great cottage right on the water. Cleaning and well stocked. If we go back to Eleuthera, we will definitely stay here again!

Island Comfort in Rock Sound Where Bahamian Charm Meets Comfort

Our stay at this beautiful beach house in Rock Sound, Eleuthera was absolutely wonderful. The home was spotless from the moment we walked in, and it had that authentic Bahamian charm that makes you instantly feel like you're on island time. The wrap‑around porch was one of our favorite features perfect for morning coffee, evening breezes, and just soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Inside, we had all the comforts of home, including AC and Wi‑Fi, which made relaxing after long beach days even better. The location couldn't have been more convenient. We were just minutes away from grocery stores, a gas station, the clinic, and the pharmacy. Most beaches were only a 15–20 minute drive, and the turquoise water nearby was absolutely breathtaking. We were also able to explore the entire island with ease from Harbour Island to Spanish Wells and even enjoyed local events like the Conch Festival in Deep Creek and the Pineapple Festival in Governor's Harbour. Being based in Rock Sound made everything accessible without feeling crowded or touristy. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, well‑located home with true Bahamian charm, this rental is a fantastic choice. We loved our stay and would absolutely return.

Amazing house w sunset views in southern Eleuthera

It was a Perfect, cozy, super clean & comfortable house for a family of 5 get away for the week. Comfortable beds & linens, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances and so many extras including beach chairs beach towels & snorkel stuff to name a few. Very thoughtful modern decor and a great deck for us to gather to watch the beautiful Bahamian sunsets. The host communication is excellent, and the fully stocked local grocery store a few minutes away had everything needed including gas for our rental car . Highly recommend and would Definately return again.

Very nice accommodations

As you visit the beautiful island and meet the warm and wonderful people - proximity to sites and markets is important. The sand cottage is nestled in between a few great restaurants and markets so perfectly convenient. The house is well maintained and clean - while the floor creeks and beds are a bit harder than I prefer the home is well stocked and you can see the care in ownership to maintain a lovely retreat Great for two couples or small family - the team was attentive to ensure the stay was enjoyed - I do think anyone staying in Rock Sound would enjoy this place !

Relax and rewind!

Cottage was beautiful. Everything you would need to have a great stay. Grocery store, gas station, liquor store good restaurants, beautiful beaches within a few miles. What more can you ask for?

Sand Dollar is beyond perfect!

Sand Dollar is the perfect place to stay. It made our honeymoon wonderful beyond our expectations. The home is so comfortable and had everything you need and more. We will look forward to staying here again. The peace and quiet was what we wanted. Having Frigates bar and grill next door was also great and their food is phenomenal.

Every thing we needed

This had good wear and everything we needed. And if we didn't want to cook we either went to Frigates or drown down the road about mile Or less to Sammy's place. That food is the BOMB. The beds were comfortable the place was clean and it just over all great.

The Perfect Place

The Sand Dollar cottage was the perfect place for us to explore South Eleuthera. The cottage is well equipped with all that you need for your stay. The air conditioning was the best we’ve had in the Bahamas. We brought our inflatable paddle boards with us and each day after we came back from exploring we put the boards in the water right there at the house and enjoyed a drink at frigates, without the worry of driving. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Cottage for 2 couples

The cottage was perfect for us, beautifully decorated, very clean, and very well equipped with anything we could possible need. The management was very helpful when we ended up arriving late, even keeping the grocery store open after hours for us. It's a very quiet remote location with a view of the lovely Rock Sound. Having the grocery store within walking distance was great!

The only downside side is with the frequent power outages in Eleuthera a backup generator for the property is a worthwhile investment. 5-6 hour outages daily almost totally ruined the vacation. Everything is electric, including the stove, so you can't even cook and eat. It was hard with 2 toddlers.

Check in was smooth and the house was extremely clean. We were travelling with my adult daughter who needed to stay connected to the internet for her job, and we arrived to find that there was an island-wide internet outage. The property manager was even able to find us a MiFi box that allowed her to continue to work! Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitey be back!

Great Place!

My husband and I stayed here with another couple. It was so nice that both bedrooms had king size beds and en suite bathrooms. The place was clean and well stocked. The location is close to a few places to eat. Frigates is right out your front door. There is a couple markets nearby that had a decent variety of items which was nice as we did do some of our own cooking. We used the grill that was provided and it worked great. There was an added bonus of a BEAUTIFUL flowering tree that spreads across the rail of deck on the south side. I noticed several people stop to take pictures of it as they passed by. The dock outside the property allowed us to see starfish, stingrays and plenty of other fish. The location is also in walking distance of the Ocean Hole and Cathedral Caves. We also enjoyed time at a beautiful Pink beach which is just a few miles away. We had it all to ourselves. We used Eleuthera Outdoor out of Tarpum Bay which was a quick drive and the tour was excellent. We had gone to the north part of the island one day, which was fun, but it did get to be a long day of travel in the car. It was nice we had plenty of other options of things to do that were close by. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Highly recommend booking Sand Dollar Cottage, if folks could use another booking agency. issues:1. Could not address a LATE ARRIVAL2. No information that we should wait until a week before to get any info on arrival.3. could not provide an address. Cottage owner had to tell us they don't use address in Eleuthera.I give 5-stars to the Cottage owner.4. Rental Car by Taylor and Taylor was a disaster. We were supposed to get a SUV. Several were listed on Taylor's website. We required extra size for oversized luggage. They showed up with a Buick ENCORE. Totally unacceptable. We had to fold down the back seat to fit luggage into back. So three adults and five bags and three carry-ons were jammed into the car. A very UNSAFE condition. We requested a larger rental after arriving Rock Sound from North Eleuthera Airport. Taylor refused. THE RENTAL CAR EXPERIENCE RUINED OUR VACATION IN ELEUTHER. NEVER GOING TO USE TAYLOR AND TAYLOR OR AGAIN!!!

Lovely spot in Rock Sound

Loved our stay at the Sand Dollar Cottage. The accommodation was exactly what we had hoped for, spacious yet cozy and everything we needed. The incredible view and wrap around porch were a bonus. Management was super friendly and very helpful as well. Highly recommend!
