Best thing about this rental: access to the neighborhood boat ramp with adjacent swimming area, a 5 minute walk away or you can drive & park there. The bottom is sandy/rocky, not muck. « Our stay at the Hidden hideaway was fantastic! We were two families, with a total of 9 people and we all had plenty of space! The kids loved the bunk bed room and the "kids space" upstairs. The grown-ups loved the outside space and the wonderful views. The kitchen had everything I needed to bake yummy breakfasts each day. We made watermelon sorbet too, yay blenders! « Great cabin for a short summer vacation in Mammoth Cave. Very easy check in, check out process. One of the cleanest vrbo we had stayed in. Very comfortable and nicely decorared. Keep in mind, driving to the park visitor center is about 40 minutes. That is where all cave tours start. We really enjoyed biking and hiking in the park as well. Also, keep in mind that Nolin lake park is closed due to flood damage. I didnt realized it and was kind of dissapointed that we couldnt use their beach area...

"I enjoyed my stay in the National park. The historical cabins are conveniently located. Closed to the restaurants and trails. Cave tours are amazing. However the cabins are getting old and there was a persistent muggy smell inside. The AC was too loud. Even with my earplugs, I had hard time to fall asleep. "
