The location is great as it is very easy to walk to The Bali Museum and the city center. The staff were friendly. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was comfortable for sleeping and it was quiet also. The wifi worked well and the pool and grounds were clean. One can get a breakfast in their restaurant for 50K rp which was fulfilling. My room was atrocious, the bathroom ceiling was covered in black mould and had major water damage, no hot water in shower rusty taps, rusty dity mini fridge, room not properly cleaned. Denpasar was nice and it was good to not have many touristy things to do - we enjoyed walking around and seeing the locals living their lives. The hotel was opposite the Denpasar Festival which we did not know about but were pleasantly surprised, and it was lovely. We were also near the Badung market and we enjoyed the Sunday local market. The hotel is an old building that needs renovation and a paint job. There is no ventilation in the bathroom, meaning there is mould everywhere and a strong smell. The rooms are a bit rundown, but the lobby is quite nice as is the pool. The staff were lovely and tried their best to help us. We wanted to experience ‘real Denpasar life’ so moved here from touristy area but it was very hard for us to find anything to see in the area, bad sidewalks. Ok for a couple days but definitely not ideal for too long unless you’d scooter or drive around.
