I was initially put in a downstairs room which was older, and had a very off-putting smell. I mentioned it to staff, so next day was moved to an upstairs room, so much better! Many thanks to the wonderful staff. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, was cleaned well everyday and there was also a turndown service which was a great touch. The pool area was great and always a free sun lounger when I went down. I also made use of the spa facilities and received the best balinese massage I've had - highly recommend this service. The quality of food was also great, I had both breakfast and dinner from the hotel menus and couldn't fault it. There is also a Vietnamese restaurant tied to the hotel that you can order from which was also delicious. Room was looking a bit worn Overall, not a bad stay. Upsides were that the location is good and staff are friendly and helpful. The downsides i would say, is that the rooms are a little dated. We stayed in villa, with own plunge pool. We felt the outdoor couch was a bit dated and didn't really suit the decor. Also, in the bathroom, there is an outdoor shower. The walls of the shower was showing black mold around the bottom. Which needs a good scrub and re-paint. Overall it was comfortable. Especially the sun loungers. We had a really great experience. The one-bedroom villa I stayed in was amazing. A great outdoor shower, as well as an indoor bath and bathroom, a great size room, outdoor lounge, kitchen and a plunge pool. Everything was clean, and the bed really comfortable. The staff were absolutely amazing! They were very helpful, and took great care of us. I arrived and had a massive headache, and they went out of their way to go to the pharmacy to buy painkillers for me. The breakfast was delicious, and the Vietnamese restaurant next door was really good too. We wished we had stayed an extra night as the villa experience with private pool and friendly staff were fantastic. Robes and slippers and water provided, personal spa pool and a bath, air conditioner was quiet and effective. Bed was comfortable and big, however sheets had a few stains and a spot of blood which was a bit offputting but overall a decent stay. Great location too! The suite is spacious and has all you need including dark rooms at night and good air conditioning. Pool was great, sun majority of the day and it was very peaceful. The room was great; kept very clean and well serviced. The massages in the Spa were amazing. The downfall to this property (no fault of their own) is that there is a very noisy bar with a band that plays loud thumping music until after 11pm. It’s particularly bad if you have a room up the front of the hotel. The location is great; it’s 5 minutes walk to the beach. There’s a convenience store across the road, the Vietnamese restaurant out the front has delicious food. It’s in a one way street; jumping in a cab is very easy. There’s a store across the road that does laundry for $3 or so for a large bag, and they have bike hire too. Breakfast was hit and miss; they could never get the eggs to be cooked well done; but everything else was delicious. The croissants were always warm and fresh.
