Located about seven miles south of the Town of Crested Butte, off Cement Creek Road, CB South offers a laid back neighborhood about 12 minutes from town by car, and about 20 minutes to the ski resort. A sweet town park, with baseball, basketball, and tennis courts, a small kids dirt jump, and nice size playground is located across the street from the property. During the winter, an awesome community cross country track is maintained. And summer recreation abounds, with numerous trails that connect to the vast Crested Butte trail system and access to endless BLM lands begin about a half mile down Cement Creek Road. Aspen house is set back and surrounded by many aspen trees that provide a nice secluded atmosphere. It sits on an over-sized lot, with a nice flat yard, a sweet fire-pit and ample space to play in. A wide driveway leads to a large garage with room for a vehicle and your toys. The yard also has a wonderful new patio with a picnic table and grill. The House rests on one level and boasts a new front porch. Sleeping accommodations include a large master king suite, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a third bedroom with a bunk set and additional twin bed. There is a large master bathroom off the master bedroom , and second full bathroom in the hallway. You enter into a large living room with an open kitchen. A nice 60" TV with Spectrum cable and high speed internet accompanies the spacious living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishwasher and microwave and includes a large island. The Aspen House has a strict 10am checkout, with a 4pm check in. Large home with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen has been recently updated, attaching photos as the ones in the listed don't do it justice. Well stocked, had all kitchenware for the meals we prepped there. The beautiful Aspens surrounding the home give it a great sense of privacy. Like the very easy access to Crested Butte proper with a 15 minute drive up the road while being a bit away from the main drag. Camp 4 coffee was a short 5 minute walk from the home and was a wonderful daily start. Tons of beautiful hikes within 30-45min of the location, perfect place to have base while you explore the region. The house was very clean and neat upon arrival. I had a couple of questions for the property manager and they were answered very quickly. The main room has ample seating options and is right off the kitchen so people preparing a meal can easily participate in the conversation in the main room. A nice wood stove generates a lot of heat and makes the main room comfy. The kitchen has lots of counter space for food preparation. The only issue with the kitchen is that the knives were not sharp and we didn't have a way to sharpen them. Next time, I would bring a roller sharpener. The beds were very comfortable, with the exception of the twin beds (but these were two tall men sleeping there, probably fine for smaller people). Very convenient to CB skiing - 10 minutes to the town center transit station, 15 minutes to the parking lot for the ski lifts. Overall, a wonderful house. It is in a cute neighborhood of similar properties. There is ample room for everyone to spread out and each room is good sized. The kitchen has most of what you need: plenty of hand towels, pans, Pyrex, etc. might want to bring your own plastic storage for left overs and the occasional missing utensil such as a wisk, potato peeler, etc. Both bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Plenty of hot water as long as you space showers out. Internet works well. The host gives you a great starter set of dish and hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. We had one small maintenance problem which was addressed promptly. All in all a great stay! Suggestions: time for an oven and stovetop replacement. ##### Karen P. We enjoyed having meals at the picnic table outside in the aspens. The addition of more potsand pans wasl. helpful. The storage room was also helpful for stowing gear. Beds were comfortable. Stood in the kitchen and watched a deer and a couple of foxes in the back yard. No directions for heating system, took a day for response with directions but I did message in the evening. Shower curtains in both bathrooms needed to be changed, some towels and the sheets in the master had some stains. I would stay again. ##### Sherry S. We have some mobility needs and aside from 7 steps up the porch that you can see in the listing, it is all one level. Indoor outdoor carpeting for easy rolling and although bathrooms aren't accessible, they were doable for us. Plenty of extra space for luggage or medical equipment like oxygen. Not a lot of extras but everything we needed. The toiletries provided were a nice touch as we had forgotten ours. Thank you! ##### Sarah G.
