As a private residential property, we maintain a peaceful and quiet environment for all of our guests and neighbors. Our home comfortably sleeps 23 guests, with a total gathering capacity of 40 people on site at any time. We ask that all guests respect our community's residential nature. This unique, remarkable home is set on 35 tranquil acres on Gibson’s Ridge, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The primary home consists of six bedrooms, seven and a half baths, thirteen rooms in total, and is a short walk to the historic town of Crested Butte. The home abounds with warmth, quality, and distinction. You’ll find an extraordinary, lofty great room with ample windows, breathtaking views, and a two-story natural rock fireplace. The great room seamlessly flows into the dining area, which opens to a large stone terrace with a built-in fire pit, outdoor dining space, landscaped gardens, and a hot tub. The full-featured kitchen with high-end Thermador appliances and reclaimed antique hewn beams is perfect for preparing group meals. The main level also includes a game room with a pool table, full bar, and a home theater with a Sonus Fabre sound system. Beyond this, there is a second master bedroom with a private entrance, a queen-sized Murphy bed, jacuzzi tub, and rain shower. Guests can also enjoy the exercise room, a steam room, a boot room, and a locker room with four custom-built spaces to organize gear. On the upper level, there are five en-suite bedrooms, including a spacious 740 sq. ft. master suite with a sitting area, office, natural rock fireplace, and deck. Kids or adults will enjoy the massive five-bed bunk room with an adjoining deck. A recently completed 1,300 sq. ft. two-bedroom condo is available for your stay. Located just 50 feet from the main house, it features a full kitchen, steam room, two bathrooms, and a massive private balcony with incredible views. No expense was spared on the high-end sound system throughout the property. You’ll find multiple outdoor speakers and subwoofers surrounding the rustic outdoor fire pit, alfresco dining space, back patio, and hot tub. The multi-purpose space is a highlight, offering a state-of-the-art sound system and a laser lighting system for an elevated evening. This versatile room can also be used as a yoga room, a playroom, or an additional dining space. The on-site pond, healthy with bass, can be used for catch-and-release fly fishing or stand-up paddle boarding. Neighboring access to the Green Lake trail connects you to the largest single-track system in the U.S. The home has been called "the Ashram"—restorative and peaceful, yet with an atmosphere that can be enjoyed to the fullest. If your soul is seeking something big, wild, and spacious, Crested Butte is the place to get it, and "The Big Mine" is the perfect vantage point. We are year-round residents and have a full-time property manager available for any property-related needs or issues during your stay. We include all the basics for a seamless stay. The house exceeded all expectations, offering stunning, panoramic views of Crested Butte Mountain from multiple rooms throughout the property. Its combination of beauty and functionality made it perfect for our event—we used everything from the theater room to the pool table room, the hot tub, and the fire pit. Despite being just minutes from the main street in Crested Butte, the house felt secluded, quiet, and completely private. The home is beautiful and has everything you’d want and more! It’s walking distance to town and to a trailhead. We enjoyed gorgeous views from every window! Our little ones had fun playing the game tables (Ping pong, air hockey and fuse ball), all of us played pickle ball on the new court and had a dress up dance party in the disco room with lights and fun music. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how thoughtfully designed and welcoming the space is. The common areas are spacious and beautifully appointed with artistic touches and a connected speaker system for music throughout, and the location simply can’t be beat—the views of Crested Butte and the surrounding mountains are absolutely breathtaking.Theresa was warm, responsive, and helpful throughout our planning process and during our stay, which made everything seamless and stress-free. We truly felt at home and were genuinely sad to leave.One of our favorite features of the house was the incredible sunroom—it comfortably hosted all 22 of us for our wedding dinner, complete with custom lights and panoramic mountain views. My family of 18 people spent Christmas in Creste Butte. Teresa was so kind and made sure that everything was wonderful for us. My communication with her was great. She answered any questions that anyone in my family had. Eric, the property manager, was really nice and so helpful with anything we needed. He even towed my brothers vehicle when he got stuck in the snow. The location is great! You feel secluded but you are actually just outside of Creste Butte. The house is amazing. It has everything you need in the kitchen and lots of toys for the kids to play with. We could not have picked a better house to spend our Christmas! ##### Kristin W. About 15 people stayed at the house, enjoying a fully equipped and spectacular house. So much to do! The trails and views around town were great but you could just stay on the property and enjoy so many amenities from pool to board games to a media room to outside fire pit and hot tub! What a kitchen too! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it’s a perfect place for an outside wedding with Crested Butte MountIn in the background. We booked this beautiful home about 10 months prior to our small elopement style wedding. It provided the most beautiful views of Mt Crested Butte which made for some EPIC photos. The whole experience was magical and the house had so much to offer each and every guest. From the hot tub, to the gym, steam room, oxygen machine, theater room, and the most perfect outdoor fire pit, this home had it all. We were wanting a space for our closest family and friends to gather for our intimate wedding and we couldn't have chose a more perfect place. It had an elegant cabin feel that wrapped everyone up in it's mountain charm. We even were able to say our vows on the property under the vibrant yellow aspens during peak foliage weekend! The main house plus the newly finished Guest house provided plenty of room for our extended family. The house exceeded all expectations from the description on the website. The owners were extremely communicative from day 1 and went out of their way to help us prepare and make the most out of this gorgeous property. The property manager was equally available and responsive to any questions. Several of our family actually walked to town. The house allowed us to host some friends over on 2 nights and it made an absolutely great place to entertain. The location and views can’t be described or fully appreciated in the pictures. You have to see it for yourself. The house was exactly as advertised with extras like the O2 machine, hot tub that was always ready for use, the wood burning gas fireplaces, sound system, and an occasional visit from a family of mule deer and a few foxes. The house had a gas grill and a big green egg. We smoked a nice pork shoulder on the green egg. The house was stocked with everything that was necessary including food staples so we didn’t have to go immediately to get groceries. Finally, the owners were very gracious, flexible, and responsive. My husband and I had a magical mini-wedding here at the end of March. The home had everything we dreamed of and more! The property comfortably housed our bridal party of 16\. We woke to a surprise snowstorm on our ceremony day - 6-8 fresh inches with no sign of stopping. Eric, the property manager, quickly got the driveway and patio cleared for us. We had a lovely, snowy outdoor ceremony on the patio. The house never felt crowded or empty for our total group of 25 on ceremony day. Our guests mingled by the bar, played casual games of pool, and entertained themselves with karaoke and puzzles throughout the weekend. The kitchen was well appointed and the large fridge was able to contain all of our food supplies. The views and setting are phenomenal. A few of our guests ventured into town on foot and said the walk wasn’t bad, even in the snow! We had a minor issue one night when a humidifier in a bedroom set off a fire alarm at 5am. Thankfully, the alarm pads are well labeled with information on what to do, and both the property manager and CB Fire Department showed up quickly to diagnose the issue and put our fears to rest. One logistical note: do take into account the configuration of beds/rooms as you plan for your group - we originally hoped to house our entire wedding in the home but ultimately limited it to the bridal party only due to the arrangement of beds/bunks to bathrooms. ##### MINDY C. Theresa’s made herself available to answer any of our questions, and she even connected us with her “A Team” of property managers who were also extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. Once it came time for our stay, we received the same level of communication and help from Eric. As for the house itself- we had 14 of our friends stay with us. It worked out really well- each couple had their own room with an insane view. Each room had its own private bathroom which is a huge benefit. We didn’t quite fill the bunk room. It was comfortable for 4 adults but would’ve been tight if we had more. Would be a perfect room to fill with kiddos though! The living space and disco room were perfect for pasta night with the group. We enjoyed a night cap and s’mores outside as we sat around the fire pit and star gazed. Outside of the stay itself, we had a small intimate wedding here. We honestly feel like it had the best 360 views in town and that we hit the jackpot. Our guests were blown away. Spacing was perfect as we set chairs up overlooking crested butte mountain and utilized the lower garden area for an intimate cocktail hour. We are so happy with our experience.
