I'd forgotten how much central otago prices outweigh quality. The bed was comfortable but the room was incredibly dated and backed onto a very noisy commercial kitchen. The host was excellent and informative but the breakfast was terrible. The setting is spectacular and it was the first time in about 7 years we had had a chance to have a weekend away, we really enjoyed it. Just ensure that if you want to go out for dinner in Clyde, make sure you book ahead and remember that the night n day can't sell alcohol after 7pm. And vaping or smoking on the premises could cost you $250\. And our neighbours were very noisy.
