The only downside for me was not understanding that although there are stairs to the beautiful blue waters of the lake, you cannot access the water. It is very difficult to be so tantalizingly close to the crystal clear water and not be able to swim. Unfortunately I did not see this in the ad, it was near the bottom of the very long description. « Me & my family had an enjoyable stay in the cottage, it’s the perfect location, easy to find and 14 minutes away from Grand Bend beach, although there is another beach which is only 5 minutes away. « The cottage is welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed everything it offered - hot tub, firepit, lawn games, drinking our morning coffees outdoors on the deck. However, the most wonderful part of our vacation was the private beach. We swam and played on the beach every day. The children - ages 6 and 9 - loved it. It is a quiet, relaxed location but still just a five to 10 minute drive to Foodland grocery store and the town of Bayfield. I hope to return next summer. »

« Our overall stay was amazing, we will definitely go back there in a heartbeat when we are in the area. It was very, very clean and felt like home away from home. People were very friendly as well.
