Lake Chatuge Lodge

"The room was clean but the bathroom is in need of a rehab. Looks to be all original fixtures and tile. Really showing its age. On our last night there, I ask at the front desk how much they would charge me for their cheap little plastic ice bucket. I needed to transport a few things ho.e that needed to be kept cold and did not have a cooler with me. I didn't want to just take it so I asked. The evening desk worker had no idea and called assistant manager who also couldn't answer and said they would need to check with the manager. We left at 7 AM the next morning without ever receiving an answer so I had to make due with some small bags with ice in them. I'm sure that if I would have stolen the bucket they would have come up with a cost quickly to charge my account! Over all the lodge was very quiet but the whole building is in need of updates."

"We loved our room which was new and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the walk in shower was large and very clean/new. We enjoyed the beautiful view from our patio and the horses in the pasture.The stunning view of the mountains that surrounded us was a huge bonus. A family style buffet for dinner was delicious. Compliments to the chef and server!! If I go near Dillard, I would book again."

Dahlonega Resort and Vineyard

"We loved the location of the resort. It is important that we find places that are pet friendly and have places that allow getting out with your pet. We were very pleased with Dahlonega for this. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small with limited counter space but that is to be expected with old style rooms. We were there during the week and unfortunately unable to sample meals. A special thank you to Candace who happened by to open the gift shop so we could purchase wine before we left."
