Amazing hotel. Extremely comfortable. However £20 for car park considering the price of the room is a bot too much. Apart from that nothing to complain about. Room was amazing, spa was above my expectations, and staff was really helpful and professional.

Hotel is a little dated, at checkin room was unavailable however the upgrade option for a bigger room for extra £40 was available. How convenient, considering i’m a expedia gold member this should be offered for free if available. Celtic Manor is meant to be a a 5* hotel, but no lotion available in room, no late checkout and pool facilities are limited to 1x90mins or 2x45mins sessions which have to be pre booked. I’ve travelled the world and ive never had todo this at the busiest of busiest hotels. Finally cherry on the cake you have to pay £20 per night for parking. It’s a resort, you are only there to stay for the hotel, there is nothing nearby so you dont have any other choice but to park in their car park and pay! On checkout they dont want to even see you, you are told to leave your room card in any of the designated spots and any charges will be applied to your credit card you used at checkin. Felt like they just wanted your money, once they had this they didn’t want to know you.

The staff were extremely helpful, patient and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The valet parking was a fantastic plus with someone with mobility problems with the concierge going down to my car on two occasions for things I had forgotten. The food was delicious in all the venues we used especially The Grill. The shuttle bus is a great asset.

Ok I'm being ultra picky here! Total transparency, we had our wedding reception here 14 years ago so probably looking through it with rose tinted glasses and whilst staying we took a very happy trip down memory lane but on this trip it just seems like the Celtic Manor are looking at every opportunity to make money from you and to cut back on things in the room to save even more money Charge £10 for parking in the outside car park No bottled water in the room No pen/pencil or notepad in the room No outdoor furniture on the balcony net result drag the arm chairs from the room outside so we could enjoy the views from the balcony Canopy over the balcony rusted and several holes in the canopy Moss and paint peeling of the down pipes of the guttering Steak on six facia pieces missing below window Weeds growing out of the gutter where metal gutter guard has been placed Paint work looks old in need of refresh plus lots of knocks and marks on the wall from where bags have maybe touched the wall Final thing was that when we woke up we had a invoice under the door for £20 as apparently myself and a gentleman named "Joshua Lewis" (I don't know anyone by this name, and during this stay it was only my wife and I that were staying) had dined at the Olive Tree when in fact we didn't eat there until breakfast the following morning, so that was a bit disappointing to have to go and sort that out Ultra picky, but as I stay in lots of hotels with my job, I just felt there is work to do here

Lovely resort with plenty of activities for a grown-up getaway. Location is right on the M4 so easy link to Cardiff. A good number of restaurants to choose from although you may want to book in advance for some. Thoroughly recommend Rafters looking over the 2010 Golf course. Rooms were comfortable, clean and tidy. Prices vary a lot depending on when you book, but our weekend in April was superb value.

Lovely stay, beautiful hotel and so easy to get to the ICC Wales where we were going to a gig, just a few minutes walk. Not 5 stars as food was average. We ate at the grill and the the olive tree for breakfast. Everything else was lovely snd would definitely return

Everything was excellent except the key system on the doors were terrible. Wife nearly wet herself when the app wouldn’t work and required a 5-10 min round trip for manual keys. Also only 2 lifts for so many people to go up to the rooms or back down is ridiculous. Totalled 40 mins waiting for lifts in less than a 30 hours stay. Spoiled the trip to be honest but will give it another chance

A few hiccups on arrival. Dinning a wasn’t great experience to be fair we waited almost 40 mins for a drink to come to the table. Cocktail bar wasn’t the best 30 min wait as well over all lovely staff bit a bit of a slow service to say the least. Apart from that it was ok. I Would go back again lovely hotel.

Great resort. Staff are polite and helpful. Shuttle service around the resort really useful. Upgrade to signature room was a great option, with a lounge and room with balcony.

Our family with 2 kids under 10 had a great Easter weekend at Celtic Manor - lots of fun outdoor activities during the day and good bar areas / restaurant choice in the evening. Wife enjoyed her Spa treatments while the boys played in the pool. Perfect for a long weekend break!

The hotel overall is nice but there were a lot of small children running wild around the lobby area and bars. Not enough lifts to the floors and we were unable to book dinner in the hotel as all restaurants were fully booked at reasonable eating hours. The spa session was too short and had to be booked in advance.

So it's a nice hotel but not all that. Nothing more exciting than a Park Plaza or Novotel. Room a bit dated, cigatette burn or similar in the bath, activity room - marks all over the walls also on stairs. Iron in the room had broken plastic. No water in the room. Just looks like it needs a bit of TLC. Lift broken which causes queues. Paid extra for Easter activities which were a bit rubbish in a room far too small for all the kids and parents so didn't bother going to the second one..waste of £20. Make sure to ask them to remove the discretionary service charge at dinner? which we did. Positive: Dinner and breakfast were nice, grounds are lovely. Free chocolate fountain in the Foyer as it was Easter weekend.

A great stay for my step son's 21st birthday. Friendly service, they made a real fuss of the birthday boy, good food and lovely clean, comfortable rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
