The thermostat did not work, making the room too hot to sleep despite opening the windows.Several attempts to contact the hotel went unanswered.Left after one night of two night stay as I was feeling ill due to lack of sleep.Getting to room was an obstacle course due to mattresses in hallway from renovations.Hallways were filthy due to renovations.The room itself was fairly clean though. We requested for queen bed in the room but there was no available, joining the two twin bed is not the best idea. There was a little view on the first floor as they are still working on the renovation of the other rooms. I like that there was laundry ensuite, my kids mess up their snow pants when we went skii at kananaskis. Its a good location to stay if you want to explore banff and kananaskis in two daysso you dont have to go from one hotel to the next. reasonable and good size for family. The renovations seemed so rushed Dents on the window sills from installation, a paint stain on the floor. Just cosmetic errors. The booking site does not list dog friendly, and the hotel webpage is out of date. Not all the additional stuff like the hot tubs or resturaunt are open. Once the room was ready it was clear cleaning had been rushed (holes in bedding, missing glasses and cups etc). It is conveniently located within walking distance of town center. Only drawback we had was the lack of air conditioning. Not normally a problem for Canmore but we were visiting during a hot spell. They gave fans but was still uncomfortably too hot for good sleep. Front desk staff were not very friendly but maybe they were also hot and uncomfortable. Have stayed at other condo hotels and they were better appointed.
