"This hotel is under new management and no longer uses OYO as a booking agent. When we arrived OYO had not sent through our booking - this was not hotels.com's fault. The new management team kindly allowed us to stay at no extra cost. I have contacted hotels.com regarding this and hope they will make sure that this hotel is given as much help as possible. The team are working hard to make this a great place to stay."

5/5 Excellent
"Lovely historic property on Tuesday Market Place. Lots of opportunity to walk the pedestrian mall that runs off TMP. A few chain restaurants are close by (Nando’s & McD’s) with the large Globe Weatherspoon just across. The breakfast buffet at Duke’s was very good with lots of selections kept fresh."

"The staff esp the older guy who received us was very welcoming. The room was tidy & beds were comfy. Breakfast was a "star" since they cook it while waiting. Not greasy and my 2 boys enjoyed the food. We will definitely come back in the future!"

"The bloomer suite was fabulous as it gave us more space and it was wonderful however the double room was quite noisy as the upstairs flat stairs are above the bed and the church clock chimes hourly during the night. Breakfast was amazing. "
"We had an excellent stay at Holt. Brad the duty manager is an exceptional hospitality professional. Despite being new to the post, he is a tribute to the establishment. Highly recommended. "

"The room was small but quit nice which overlooks the car park and back garden the room furniture was old but good quality the bathroom had recently been refreshed and was clean
We felt the breakfast which was expensive and should have been included in the room price the dining area was tired and in need of re furbishment
Great location a short walk across the a lovely well lit park took you to the city centre, rail and bus station, river, shopping area and museums
A really nice place to visit "
