Pros - It looks like the pictures, a pleasant Baja house with pool and hot tub. It is a very short drive to a mostly deserted beach.
Cons - The lockbox out front only had a key for the front gate. We were there for two days before we discovered the house keys on a nail above one of the doors. Luckily the door to the indoor/outdoor shower was unlocked. I don't know why the keys weren't all kept together.
We had to search in the bookshelf for the welcome guide, there were no instructions for the safe.
It has only a peekaboo ocean view from the upper deck.
The listing states that the property has kayaks and other watersports equipment, however when I contacted the owner he stated that you have to purchase a day pass at the resort across the street to use them, $35/day.
Lastly, the majority of kitchen supplies we used (glasses, bowls, plates) had to be washed before using, they obviously had not been washed before our arrival. I don't mean the usual Baja dust, these were sticky and dirty.
Nitpickyness aside, it's a nice house, tastefully decorated in a quiet neighborhood, the owner and manager just need to pay more attention to detail if it is to live up to it's 4.8 star average.
