Quite a self-contained stay. I received instructions as to how to get to my room which was in the adjoining building to the pub. It was a lovely deluxe room with plenty of space allowing me to get some admin work done beflore relaxing. They had a fridge with plenty of items to choose from for the continental breakfast. The shower was pretty good and the bed very comfortable. There were dining options on site but also other choices not too far away. The bar is very friendly and the staff are very helpful. There is a good restaurant serving a selection of home cooked snacks and meals. There are 3 rooms for stays with complimentary cold breakfasts. A selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit juice etc. There are toasters in the rooms along with small fridges. The rooms are very pleasant and offer walk in showers, spotless linen and towels, comfortable beds , irons and hairdryers. We really enjoyed our one night at the Anchor inn and would like to return. There is free on site car parking, children are welcome. The bedrooms are accessed via an exteria stone stairway.
