Walk to Everything! Forest Haus is nestled perfectly in the midst of year-round Breckenridge action! Located next to Carter Park, which offers miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, lighted tennis courts, playgrounds, sand volleyball courts, sports courts, and a picnic pavilion. This location is quiet, yet in the heart of the action, being a short 4-block walk to Main Street. Main Street in Downtown Breckenridge has excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping, festivals, and historic points of interest. The free bus system has stops only 2-blocks away that will take you anywhere in Breckenridge or to transfers to anywhere in Summit County, including Copper Mountain, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Frisco, and Silverthorne. While you can take the bus to Peak 9 or the Gondola, you can also walk the 1/2 mile to the base of Peak 9, about a 15-minute walk for most. Kids also love this perfect location! The condo is located adjacent to Carter Park which is the premier town sledding hill, an Elementary School with a rad playground, and miles of mountainous trails to explore. A short walk down Main Street (or the Riverwalk path), children and adults of all ages may tour a free museum with interactive historical exhibits in downtown Breckenridge. If a break from the outdoor adventures and downtown bustle is desired, the condo has assorted board games, 42 inch smart flatscreen TV with cable and fast wireless internet. This top floor suite feels spacious and cozy with soaring vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, open floorplan, and tasteful décor. The galley kitchen has everything you need to cook meals at home, with a full size refrigerator/freezer for your groceries, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, crockpot, coffeemaker, pots & pans, dishware and utensils. Guests can eat in at the counter and the dining room table. The leather couch is super comfy, great for lounging after a funfilled day in Breck. Both of the 2 bedrooms have west facing mountain views of Breckenridge Ski Area from the beds with plenty of closet and dresser space for your belongings. Each bedroom has a comfortable and supportive queen size bed that is sure to recharge you after a fun day in the mountains. The suite has 1 bathroom with a full bath/shower, sink, and commode. Towels, soap, and shampoo are provided. Your suite sits 2 floors atop a heated garage with a single reserved parking space for your use. Oversized vehicles will not fit. Garage access is controlled with a code. Additional parking is available on the street. The stairs are covered and protected from the elements. The location was very convenient. You can walk to all the places you'd want to be on Main Street and we were even able to walk back from Breckenridge after skiing. Although, there is a shuttle, you don't have to feel forced to take it knowing you can walk to/from the slopes within 10 minutes.
