C'est un petit hôtel ou un grand B&B situé un peu à l'écart du centre ville mais accessible facilement car le tramway passe juste devant. Ceci pouvant générer quelques nuisances sonores pour les chambres sur le devant, mais la nuit c'est calme. Les chambres sont simples, assez grandes pour certaines mais relativement confortables. C'est une ancienne demeure bostonienne qui a beaucoup de charme. L'accueil est très sympa façon auberge de jeunesse. On peut stationner derrière l'hôtel moyennant un supplément. Le petit-déjeuner est assez simple mais copieux mais il doit être pris dans la chambre en venant se servir à la réception. Le point faible de cet établissement est le déjeuner qui est inclus mais qui est servi dans le tout petit bureau d'accueil sur une table de buffet. Reminded me of a rooming house...older property with some charm but for most people who are looking for a modern facility, this is not it. If the property's price is a primary factor, go for it. Everything was in working order and was clean and neat. Cute light breakfast left at reception. Heat during the early evening but not overnight and you can't control heat in room. Ask about air conditioning...I didn't see it. Again, you get a room, comfortable bed, bathroom and everything is clean. But not for me. Where to begin……I flew to Boston with my daughter to get her settled into a place nearby the hotel as she was attending BU in the fall. I was there for 6 days total and the first few days wasn’t bad until finding out a few items purchased at the BU campus store were stolen!! I told a young man named James what happened and he was so nonchalant about the matter stating he didn’t think it could be his housekeeper! The male housekeeper was the only person in our room!! Who else could it be other than staff at that point. I received no apologies, just said he would relay this to the manager. I asked him for a managers name and he refused to give me this info!! What kind of Mickey Mouse running hotel is this?! Words cannot express my anger and frustration. I had to call Expedia and take it up with them instead. I regret ever staying at that ridiculous hotel. There is nothing we would recommend about this property. The room was dirty. Crumbs on the mantle and table, the bathroom had “splatter” all over the sink and medicine cabinet along with balls of hair on the floor and in the mats. The bathtub still had dirt from the previous user on the bottom of it as well as hair coming out of the drain. The linens all had a yellow stain or two on them. The air conditioner would only do one temperature. Parking is quite sketchy. Even modest hotels near the city center cost at least $300/night, so for $200/night this property met my expectations. First, it's about 2 miles (15 minutes on the trolley) west of the metro/tourist zone in a residential neighborhood. Second, it's rough around the edges but functional. The negatives: the bathroom was tiny, the towels thin, there were no outlets near the beds and the room was clean enough but not immaculate.
