Hot tub uses bromine, not chlorine. \*\*\*By booking this cabin you acknowledges the following house rules\*\*\* Booking guest must be at least age 25 and must be present for the duration of the rental. No Pets allowed. No Smoking inside or on decks. This is a wood cabin and we love it intact. No Parties. No Fireworks. No unapproved guests and no more than the 8 capacity limit. You will be asked to fill out a registration form so we know who you are. We have limited check out chores. Garbage should be secured in the outdoor bins, used towels dropped in the tub and the dishwasher turned on. There are 3 Exterior cameras on our driveway and door with motion activated audio and video. During checkout VRBO will offer you a choice of either a $59 insurance payment to cover up to $1500 of damage or you can pay a $1500 deposit. We recommend the $59 coverage! If you choose to have VRBO take an extra $1500 it will be charged at the time of your reservation and you will not receive it back until 14 days after your stay. Mornings watching an amazing sunrise and evenings by the fire pit, singing Christmas songs under the stars, made it magical and full of family memories. The Christmas decorations inside gave the cabin the perfect “home-for-the-holidays” vibe, and it was exactly what we needed for one last trip together before our son heads off to college. Everything about Solitude really felt special — peaceful, festive, and full of warmth. The host was amazing and warm. The house was clean with plenty of towels and related amenities. Kitchen was well-appointed with ample dishes, silverware, and pots and pans. Plenty of room for us to spread out for some quiet time while also having a great downstairs and main area to hang out, watch TV, and shoot a few games of pool. Little things like having multiple lamps rather than just overhead lighting makes it feel like a home. The porches and wonderful. Husband and I came up with 2 of our daughters and their spouses and 2 of our grandsons. We did a little site seeing, went to the Apple Festival . We relaxed around the fire pit ate hotdogs and s’mores ! After the kids went to bed we got to enjoy the hot tub . The place is very up to date and has everything you need in a stay ! We enjoyed the porch views, fire pit, hot tub, pool table, grill, and comfy beds. The area is peaceful and quiet. We spotted a family of deer, went to Merciers, explored downtown Blue Ridge, and so much more. Our two year old loved the bears and books. We arrived late at night and it was almost pitch black. It rained and stormed while we were there, almost felt we were right in the middle of it, very cool! There’s so much to do in the cabin that we didn’t mind the weather. The hot tub and deck are covered, and with the pool table and games this cabin is a great choice for rainy or winter weather. Owner/management top-notch and very friendly. Our family needed a vacation very badly with our college daughter needing a major surgery at the end of June on her hip! This cabin was everything we needed and more! We have stayed in many VRBO’s and a couple of different cabins but we can honestly say this stay was our favorite!!! The name Solitude was perfectly fitting for this cabin as it felt like we had the mountain to ourselves! We were only 20 minutes from Blue Ridge and other activities in the area. The host was phenomenal with responding to questions and met all our expectations!!! If you need a break from your busy life we recommend this cabin as your place of rest and relaxation!!!
