The property was extremely clean, beautifully decorated and maintained, and the location could not have been any better! Owner sent our room info to another couple and they walked in on us. Owner said that had never happened before. Ask for a new door code and he didn't know how to change it but would come by and try. Never heard back from him. Messaged again. No answer. Next day called and messaged again. Finally got a message and was told a Locksmith would come and try to change the code. He never did. Would have left if we could have found somewhere else to stay. Owner didn't communicate with us and NEVER addressed the problem. If the door codes can't be changed i don't think its very secure. My husband and I were looking for a place in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge so we could walk to the shops and come back and rest when we wanted to. The penthouse suite was just as it is in the pictures.The bed was comfortable and the linens were very good, considering it was cool at night. The heat and air was very good and all the instructions were easy to follow. We used the wet bar area while we were there also and loved the antique looking appliances. We had to contact the host for toilet paper and he got back to us right away, and we had it within the hour. We were able to park in the back of the building and did not have to move the car during our stay. This is a very sweet studio with a really comfortable mattress and air conditioning in a fantastic location in which to explore Blue Ridge and the surrounding area. It is decorated very nicely and was nice and quiet for us light sleepers, despite being located right in the center of town. Just a couple things of note if you're considering renting here: there is a fairly steep staircase to enter the apartment, so beware if you have heavy bags. Also, the shower wasn't draining properly and it took awhile for the hot water to come on, so we were standing in a few inches of cold water in order to shower.
