CHECK IN 4PM CHECK OUT 10AM Golden Oaks at Sugar Creek is a gorgeous custom log home that provides all the luxuries that you have come to expect in a luxurious mountain getaway. This home is privately situated and surrounded by hardwoods and plenty of places to explore and admire. Located in Blue Ridge but only a short drive to Ellijay, the location is perfect to enjoy what both towns have to offer. Upon arrival you will notice the large wrap around porch with mountain laurel railings and the stunning wood burning fireplace. Seating is plentiful and comfortable and the outdoor area allows for easy conversations with friends and/or loved ones and the perfect place to watch for the abundant wildlife that call this area home. The side and back yard are fenced in and provides a great area for your fur baby to romp and play. Inside, attention to detail and comfort is apparent. The great room has a wall of glass allowing you to enjoy the seasons regardless of the weather and the impressive stone gas fireplace provides warmth and coziness on a cool mountain evening. A 50" flat screen TV provides a great place to watch the game or enjoy a good movie. The fully equipped kitchen with granite counters and a striking custom kitchen island seats 4 and provides the perfect place to whip up some great meals. A large dining area with seating for 6 makes it easy to enjoy meals together. There is a full bath with a jetted tub/shower combo and laundry area on the main level. The King Master is located on the upper level and has its own private covered porch, a 42" flat screen TV as well as a private bath with a walk in shower, jetted tub and double vanities. There is a lovely king bedroom on the main level as well with a 21" flat screen. The terrace level does not lack in ambiance and charm. There is a seating area with a 42" TV, another stunning gas fireplace, a bar and a pool table. Another king bedroom and full bath with tub/shower combo and double vanities on this level makes this the perfect home for privacy for 3 couples or the family with teenagers that need their own space. The terrace patio has rockers for relaxing and a luxury hot tub for soaking and is only a few steps from the huge backyard fire pit, a great place to enjoy some s'mores while watching for some of those famous North Georgia shooting stars. Best to bring your body wash, and shampoo. Never found blow dryer if in need of one. Great fenced in area for pups, however, mostly rock and dirt. TV bottom level did not seem to work. It was exactly what we were looking for. Everything was as it was described. The ride into Blue Ridge and Ellijay were very easy. There was a grocery store 10 minutes away. While at the cabin we felt like we all had space and the property was perfect. We enjoyed the basement game area as well as making smores on the outdoor fireplace. The lay out was great, kitchen was great and so was the location. What was NOT GREAT was how the kids used the hot tub a few times every day of the stay. Started out with a few red bumps and then one fried ended up at the dr. with hot tub folliculitis and running a high fever and really bad rash all over due to the hot tub not being cleaned properly or lack of chemicals prior to our arrival. Needless to say we all ended up at the dr on antibiotics for bacterial infection. I have stayed in many cabins with hot tubs and have never had this issue before. When I let Mtn. Oasis cabin rentals know, all they said was thank you for letting us know. I was very disappointed in how they took no responsibility for what they did. I will never use Mtn. The kitchen was well equipped for the most part. It had plenty of dishes, glassware, utensils, and pots and pans but I was surprised there weren't any measuring cups or baking pans/sheets. Regardless, the giant kitchen island was ideal for preparing meals. While the dining room with its large table would seat 6 comfortably, the living room could use some extra seating as all that was provided was a reclining chair and a small sofa that would seat 3\. The gas fireplace on the main level kept the cabin really toasty but the heat would rise to the top of the stairs causing the primary bedroom to become really hot so we had to be sure and keep the door shut whenever the fireplace was lit. The sofa on the terrace level is in dire need of replacement as the leather/vinyl was peeling in large patches. The pool sticks were missing tips so we weren't able to use the pool table. We took full advantage of the outdoor wood-burning fireplace but the seating wasn't ideal. The wicker rocking chairs are showing some wear and tear and in my opinion just too big for the space. There was also a small swinging chair that had rips and tears. Despite these small issues, we really had a nice time but decided we would much rather have a mountain view next time so won't be renting the cabin again. ##### Stephanie R. This property did not disappoint. You can tell that the owners thought of their visitors in every aspect. They definitely put themselves in our shoes and had many extras that made small differences but made it really nice. The property is beautiful. The only thing I would tell you is to be prepared for the driveway. There's a few tricks in driving up a very steep gravel driveway. Be sure to handle the driveway as straight on as possible. Had a great time at the cabin with a few friends and their pups! Was thankful to be able to bring our dogs along and the fenced back yard was a big draw for us. Our dogs had just as much fun as we did! The place was built in 2015 i believe and was very nice and well built. The cabin was very clean upon arrival with all the towels folded nicely and there was no shortage in towels either. We loved how each bedroom had it’s own full bathroom and also how they were placed on 3 separate floors for some privacy. We also loved all the fireplaces they had there! We spent a decent amount of time around the fire playing card games and drinking hor chocolate. Would def recommend this cabin to anyone considering! ##### Chris S. We were able to bring our little gsp and she loved the backyard and just laid down all day and watched the woods from the window. Only disappointing thing was that we couldn't let her up to the main room with us and she couldn't lay on the couches. I may have just missed that in the listing. Either way we had the most wonderful time and can't wait to return. The first drive there was a little tough because it had rained but I got used to the technique needed to drive uphill on a gravel road. Key was to keep consistent speed. After the property was paid for, I did get emails from the owner with all directions and the code to enter the building. He asked for an ID for the credit card that paid for the building which I thought was a great idea to prevent fraud. he also asked for a list of the people and their ages that will be staying & I thought was a great idea. The exterior cleaning was great but the interior cleaning like under sofas and beds need to be vacuumed and swept and cleaned there were a lot of dog hair under the sofas which can be that can be easily taken care of. ##### Lowana B. Open floor plan This is a beautiful house, the open floor plan made you feel very comfortable. Views from every window. Very relaxing and functional, with the 3 level in house. We were drawn to the fenced yard for our dogs and it made things so much easier for us. Not a lot of grass for them but it didn’t rain so it was ok. The management took extra steps to help make things nice when we arrived, music playing, lights on in main area, soaps in bathrooms and nice supply of dishes. It was clean but maybe a deep clean in kitchen cabinets was needed. Overall good and clean though. Loved the porch area and all the places to enjoy the outside. Nice and quiet!
