Due to local wildlife, please be mindful of your pets. \- SEPTIC/PLUMBING: \*\*\*This cabin is on a septic system \*\*\*Toilets - Flush only toilet paper. Do not flush hygiene products, wipes (even if flushable), paper towels, or tissue, as this will cause a blockage and render all plumbing useless .\*\*\*Kitchen - Only liquids can go down the kitchen sink drain. Cooking oils, grease, fats, food debris, and coffee grounds must go into the trash. \*\*\*Drains - There are drain screens in the kitchen and bathrooms to prevent hair, food, and other items from going down the drains; these must be used at all times.\*\*\* \- DRIVEWAY: We recommend backing into the driveway when possible. Directly across from the driveway, there are rocks and rebar to prevent accidental sliding into the narrow adjacent drainage culvert. Please be extremely mindful of this (and the fence) when pulling out of the driveway to avoid damage to vehicles. \- HOT TUB: The hot tub is emptied between every reservation, therefore the water may not be hot upon your arrival. The hot tub can reach temperatures up to 104°F. It will lose about 5°F per hour when the lid is off; weather conditions and use of the jets may expedite this cooling. \- TRASH: \*\*\*All trash and poops bags must be BAGGED and TIED in kitchen-sized 13 gallon bags, then placed in the outdoor bear-resistant trash bins. The trash company removes each bag individually; no dump truck. Trash is collected Tuesdays and Fridays.\*\*\* \- PROPANE HEATER: Turn off the dining room propane heater when not in use. \- FUTON: The futon in the game room is designed for convenience over comfort. If you are sensitive to mattresses, one of the traditional beds is recommended. \- WATER: Because our well has an electric pump, water may be limited if the electricity is out. Although we do have reserve tanks, please conserve water during an electrical outage. \- FIREPLACE: To use the fireplace, ensure the flue is open by sliding the handle that's at the top center of the fireplace (smoke should go up the chimney). Fires must be attended at all times. Place all cold ashes in the metal bucket provided; do not dump outside. Do not use the air conditioning and fireplace at the same time. The hosts are very responsive and make sure you have everything you need. The cabin itself was very clean, dog friendly, and "dog proofed" so that we were very comfortable having our dog there! The views from the deck were unparalleled and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Vin (our dog) enjoyed all his meals outside on the deck and laid out there for hours listening to the calls of the wild. We enjoyed listening to the wildlife and saw several feathered and furry critters! The hot tub was such a lovely place to ease aching muscles after hiking the mountains! The bed was so comfortable and roomy and the black-out shades were so nice that we are ordering some for our bedroom at home! We didn't want to leave, and Vin almost threw a tantrum when we forced him from his cabin palace to return home to boring Illinois. Thank you so much for providing such an incredible location for us and our fur baby! ##### Lacey E. The views from the cabin are beautiful - especially at sunset. The hot tub was a huge plus given how cold it was! The fenced in yard is so nice for the dogs. There are places that simply allow dogs, and then there are places that are truly dog friendly - which this cabin very much is! It was so nice to see blankets for the pups that allowed them to lay on the couches with us and have bowls available for them to get water before we could unload the car. The cabin is very well stocked with everything you could need and all cabinets & light switches are labeled, which is so nice! The cabin is secluded and off the main road, but is also very conveniently located as far as downtown, hiking, food and shopping. The fireplace and endless supply of wood made the cabin so cozy for us! The beds were comfy as well and the cabin was very functional. Us two adults also enjoyed the game room. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Check in was easy and check out was a breeze! We will definitely book again if/when we are in the area. ##### Emily S. Great location, the cabin is clean and tidy and the view is unbeatable. The entire set up is unbelievably dog friendly but even if you don’t have a dog, it is a great cabin to bring your family to. We’ll definitely be revisiting it when we go back to blue ridge. I can’t recommend this place enough, if you are on the fence just book it! ##### Rabab K. I am convinced that this cabin has the best view on the mountain. The layout of the cabin is great, 2 balconys to relax on, plenty of outdoor and indoor furniture for you and your pups. Very clean too. The amenities really make this cabin stand out from the others. Our 2 pups had the best time. Completely fenced in yard was key. Great firepit for the ultimate chill spot. The view is beautiful and the valley and mountains really show off the beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The cabin has everything you and your family/dogs could ask for. The host has done an amazing job providing all you need and it is conveniently labeled to find things quickly. If you bring your dog, the host has made it cozy, comfortable and fun for them too. Words don't do the cabin and location justice. All contact with the host was quick and helpful and check in was a breeze. The location of the cabin puts you a short drive to Ellijay, Blue Ridge (scenic railway was a very good time) and McCaysville (on the Tennesee border). There is an indoor fireplace and outside seating area below the amazing deck with a firepit. We used it all and loved every minute of it. Thanks for a relaxing, quiet and much needed vacation! ##### Keith T. We loved every minute of our stay at Sum Fun! Especially our chocolate lab Rosie. She loved joining in on the adventure. Our kids loved the popcorn and s’mores left as a welcome gift. Y’all have thought of everything! I loved how everything was labeled and easy to find. The place was immaculate and so cozy. We ate at the cabin most nights and had everything we needed. A bigger grill is the only thing I wish we had. You will not find a better view on the mountain. I loved watching the sunset with a glass of wine on the porch. We can’t wait to visit again!
