The cabin was pretty clean minus the fact that there was dust all over the walls. The beds were very very uncomfortable it felt like we were sleeping on the floor. The hot tub wouldn’t turn on and even if we could get it on it smelled so strongly of chlorine. The cabin certification was also expired by about three years. There was no privacy at night in the living room due to the lack of curtains it made us very uncomfortable. The host was kind and got a cleaning crew out right away, but this resulted in a rush job that left some dirty spots. The wifi didn’t work. Half the lightbulbs were burned out. A circuit tripped and we lost power in the bedroom and bathroom, and by this point it was late and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Couldn’t find a breaker box. Some wall panels were literally falling off. We tried to make the best of it and relax in the hot tub, but it was so over-chlorinated my husband and I both got awful chlorine rashes. After trying to wash the chlorine off in a dark bathroom, we said this is ridiculous and went home in the middle of the night. I totally get that things happen, but this was a lot. The host was apologetic, but I did end up going to Vrbo and asking for a partial refund, largely in case we wound up with Dr bills from the chlorine. They didn’t even refund a third of what I paid, and it was pretty pricy for one night. It’s a charming property, it just needs to be managed appropriately. ##### Raven C. My husband and our dogs had a wonderful time! When we did have a question, the hosts were very responsive and helped us.
