The best area to stay in Blažice is typically in the urban centre of Košice, as Blažice itself is a smaller village just outside the main city.

For visitors looking for a central and convenient base, the Old Town (Staré Mesto) district of Košice is ideal. This area is the historic heart of the city, centred around the Hlavná ulica (Main Street) which is a long pedestrian zone. You'll find many of Košice's main attractions here, including St. Elisabeth Cathedral and the State Theatre. The streets are lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, making it very walkable and easy to explore.

Couples often appreciate the Old Town for its romantic setting and easy access to cultural experiences. You can enjoy strolls along Hlavná ulica, visit museums, or relax in one of the many cosy establishments.

The best time to visit Blažice is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) months.

These periods offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside and enjoying outdoor activities. The summer months (July-August) can be quite warm, while winter brings colder temperatures and snow, which might be appealing for those interested in winter sports in nearby areas but less so for general sightseeing in Blažice itself.

For couples looking for a relaxed getaway, late spring and early autumn provide a beautiful backdrop of blooming nature or changing leaves, superb for scenic walks and enjoying the local cuisine without the larger crowds often found in peak summer. The gentle weather is also suitable for visiting nearby historical sites or vineyards.

Families travelling with children might also find these shoulder seasons more comfortable. The milder temperatures are better for kids to enjoy outdoor play and exploring without the intensity of summer heat.
