"Nice historic property"

"Location was incredible, lovely room and grounds"

"Great staff, friendly and attentive. Amazing food, real ale, extensive wine list. Reminiscent of how hotels used to be before corporate takeovers"

"Good food great chef"

"There is a lot that is exceptionally good about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful , the food and drinks of high standard and the spa area very good. The only slight downsides were poor WiFi although this seems to affect the whole village when we visited. We’d love to come back."

"We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!"

"Nice clean place. Great food and pleasant staff. Highly recommend"

"Excellent location, spacious room, great breakfast, beautiful balcony with amazing views, and more importantly very nice and helpful staff 🙏👏"

"It is an older style building, but was clean, central and really good value. The setting and gardens are great and brilliant for dogs."

"The woman who greeted us, was so lovely!!! Made us feel welcomed and at home and would recommend to anyone visiting."

"Fabulous stay for 2 nights, great staff, great food, breakfast and dinner, very comfortable bed."

"Lovely & very accommodating hosts & very good breakfasts. Room was spotless with king size bed, TV, sea views, plenty of storage space, compact ensuite, etc. The on site parking requires some care from drivers, especially if you have a large car. Town centre, pubs, railway station & beach all a short walk down the hill."

"Amazing stay!"
