Best stay in SH!

This is our fifth trip to South Haven, each time staying at a different location. This is the first one that we have rebooked because we absolutely loved it! From the wraparound porch out front to the attention to decor and cleanliness it was a dream come true!

Our new favorite vacation home

My husband and I spent a week in this beautiful home and daughter and her two kids joined us for a few days. Owner was very responsive in sending internet code as I had misplaced the email. House is remodeled, very clean and layout is great for a family or could work for two couples. We liked the location too. Walkable to beach or town. Hope to stay here again!

Successful repeat stay

This was our 7th summer in a row in SOHA. We last stayed at this property in 2021. The primary bathroom was updated since then, and it’s great! This open dining room/living room space is perfect for a group. The back deck seats a big group and feels private. Perfect location for town, beach, and playground. We love this house.

Always the best

We stay here every summer and have already booked for next year. The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious. Location is perfect – so close to South Beach and downtown – easily walkable to many locations. The host has several beach items, bikes, and yard games on site for guests to use. It’s always the best!

Third time was a charm

Here Comes the Sun/South Haven

If you visit SH this is the place to stay! Everything is exactly as described, convenient to beach, restaurants and feels like home. Best part is Kevin & Kim are sooo responsive to any/all questions (even my dumb ones). We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to beautiful SH!!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay in Kevin’s property in South Haven. Great house in a great location. Grandchildren appreciated all the beach toys, soccer ball, etc. We had everything we needed and we were so close to the beach, the playground, and downtown.

Sisters Weekend

Wonderful Vacation

Kim and Kevin are excellent hosts. They have added all the extra touches that makes this house a home right down to the wine and welcoming note. The home is very clean and well stocked. We especially enjoyed having coffee on the front porch each morning, riding bikes and seeing the sunsets. The house was great. Wonderful location. There was enough room for eight people easily. Decorated so nicely enjoyed being in such a nice house. They had just about anything a renter would need. This is a beautiful house and outside area. Everything is updated and clean. There was 7 of us and we had plenty of room. The location could not have been better. Close to the beach, downtown and the kids' playground . The WiFi went down once and Kevin and Kim got right back to us and got it going again. They were wonderful hosts. Would definitely book this place again and recommend it to others.

Take me back!!

I titled this review “take me back,” because that’s what I’ve been asking my husband to do since we left. I’ve never stayed at a vacation rental where I’ve felt more at home. Kim & Kevin are fabulous hosts & covered all the details to make their rental the perfect place to stay. House is incredibly well stocked, perfectly designed & has just the right indoor & outdoor space to enjoy your time away. Easy walk to the beach to enjoy a day in the sun or watch the most gorgeous sunsets! Great fire pit to enjoy cooler evenings outside. Bikes to enjoy trips around town. I seriously could go on & on regarding why I love this place! Can’t wait to get back there!! Thanks so much Kim & Kevin!!

South Haven Bliss

Home was very clean and property was very well maintained. Our family had a wonderful time, the home was very comfortable, especially the beds, after long days of walking into town and down to the beach we really appreciated a good nights sleep! Perfect Spot!

My parents and my family (spouse and 2 kids) take a trip together every year. We love to try new places and have never stayed in the same home twice-until now! We had such a great time last year and were so impressed with this house that we came back and plan to do it again next year. The home is cozy, extremely clean and perfectly located. It’s an easy walk to the beach or the town-my 8-year-old son had no problems keeping up and neither did my 75-year-old father. My parents stayed in the master suite on the main level while my family was upstairs. Each family had plenty of privacy and did not disturb one another, which I was concerned about as my kids can be loud. The owner takes a great deal of pride in the home and was kind and responsive. Highly recommend this vacation home!

Nice location and house

We loved the house and it’s location but was a little surprised that all bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and we had to go buy some. Bag of garbage was left in kitchen when we got there. No one could figure out how to use front door lock. No lights on stairs. Also surprised that bathrooms didn’t have shampoos and body wash , every other house we have stayed in did. Kids loved all the beach toys and chairs. Nice fire pit.

Our New Getaway

We usually head south for our summer vacations but decided to do something different this year. We are so glad we did! The house was perfectly located, an easy walk to the beach or downtown. It was very clean and well-maintained. We loved the layout for two families. My older parents were able to enjoy the master bedroom and bathroom downstairs while my husband and I had a bedroom upstairs next to the kids bedroom. It allowed each family to have just enough privacy. We are accustomed to rushing out to buy soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. when we arrive at a vacation home but this home was well stocked with the essentials to get us started. We loved relaxing on the covered porch and sitting around the fire pit in the backyard. The shed had everything we needed for a day at the beach including nice beach chairs, an umbrella and beach toys for the kids. There were even backyard games and bikes in the shed! The owners thought of everything when stocking this home. We were so impressed with this home and with this town!

Charming Cottage in SH

House has a great front porch! My husband & I spent several relaxing nights sitting out on it with a glass of wine and waving to neighbors as they passed. We also enjoy sitting around the fire pit, used the grill and our 4 yr old loved looking through the games that were in the house. The shed is stocked with a wagon to take beach stuff in & your child, some outdoor toys, bikes and some wood to get you started with for the fire pit. The owner Kevin was always very nice and check-in & out was very simple and easy. The house is decorated very cute too. The cottage is very walkable to the main town for food & to the beach. The surrounding neighborhood is peaceful and so charming! I do think it would be helpful for the owner to show the stairs so people know what they are getting into. Haha! (Although you’ll be hard pressed to find any house in SH without precarious, tiny stairs.) Unfortunately, the baby gate provided does not fit right with the baseboards in the home & cannot be secured all the way. It can very easily be pushed over. We were very concerned about our son falling down the stairs. Funny enough, my husband ended up slipping on them, but our son did not. Anyway, I think the stairs concern for kids could be easily solved by a semi-perminate babygate that opens & closes like a door and pressure mounts up to walls/baseboards. Just a suggestion, Kevin. :) Thanks again! We really enjoyed our stay!!
