The town of Oakhurst is about seven miles away, offering shops, restaurants, bars, a cinema, and a live stage theater of its own. The Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Coarsegold is 12 miles away, and the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park is only 15 miles away. We originally booked it for three nights, but left in the morning after the first night because it was too hot to stay there with two small kids. I also would not call “lake view” tiny glances of lake through dense trees. The beach near the house was very small because the water level was high, and it was not very good for swimming since there are so many boats on the lake that pollute it. Wifi was very good, which was essential since there was almost no cellular coverage in Bass lake. ##### Ivana T. Home was conveniently located near larger lake-front home that was the location of our family reunion. Nice homey feel in the pines. Large deck is great for morning breakfast.
