« Before check in the host was kind and incredibly communicative. Upon check out they asked how our stay was and I wrote them a message saying I’d rather discuss this before leaving a bad review but they left me on read… When we arrived there were so many unhoused folx outside the apt we didn’t feel safe entering. we literally saw a woman being chased/harassed while we were pulling up. If I wasn’t with my partner I would’ve had to cancel due to feeling unsafe. I have no bad feelings about unhoused...

« Everything about our stay was fantastic. We really enjoyed the views, kayaking on the lake, seeing the stars, and listening to the loons. The location is perfect...close to the town, beaches, and trails, but also quietly secluded for that perfect peaceful getaway. The house was extremely clean, inviting, and comfortable. Wendy was a very generous and gracious host and made sure our stay was special. We can't wait to visit again »

A mini-fridge, coffeemaker and microwave oven do not make this a "Studio" in the sense that I understand that word (i.e., a one-room apartment with kitchen and bath). « As advertised, except for the "walking distance to downtown." It's over a mile, no sidewalks, very hilly bendy road, difficult for cars and the plethora of work trucks to see you. We had some elderly folks planning to stroll into town, but that was a hard no. Maybe ok if you're young and active, but certainly don't plan on safely walking home at night. Otherwise, a pleasant old place. »
