This small city is the heart of the Charlevoix region, and in a deep and uncharacteristic valley between two mountains and the Saint Lawrence. The dramatic bay was created by a massive meteor strike millions of years ago, and some say that this galactic quality is what gives the city such a special feel. It has a beautiful shoreline (even in winter), lots of quaint restaurants and cafes, plus the reported highest concentration of art galleries in the country.

This town was very unusual for us but we loved it! People around are friendly, food is good ( we had a chance to visit three different places and everything we ate was delicious). Some people don't speak English but they still try to help you!
