We used a boat rental for several days, and they picked us up from the dock right outside, which was so convenient. The house is located nextdoor to Ski Shores, a classic, waterfront Austin restaurant that is perfect for quick meals or fun drinks - and they even have a pickleball court! Dr Jay was INCREDIBLY responsive before and during our stay. The pool and yard are incredibly shady, which was great for the little kids but not great for getting tan. Overall, it was nice house and stay but it is his primary residence so there are a lot of knick-knacks, photos, etc. throughout the house and lots of drawers, cabinets and doors marked as off limits and cameras throughout the exterior. ##### Rechael M. Bedroom arrangements were perfect for our house. Master is huge and beds are so comfortable! House is very accommodating and owner supplies so many things most vrbo’s don’t like soap, shampoo and conditioner in every shower. Extra toilet paper (Charmin!) and paper towels, laundry supplies, pool towels, pool toys, etc etc!!! One big extra is the pool is in the shade all day so fair skinned kiddos won’t get sunburned! If you want sun there’s plenty by the sandy beach or in a lounge chair above the boathouse. The owner is awesome about communicating within seconds of sending him a text if you have any questions!!! The house is super clean, spacious and can’t beat the pool and hot tub facing the lake. It’s unbelievable. The yard slopes down near the lake and it’s a small beach. Very nice to walk into the lake. We had a boat and we’re able to pull up to the dock for east pick up and drop off. Steps away from Ski Shore Café (also amazing). Lastly, Jay’s communication was so appreciated.
