Guests can enjoy a scenic view of Lady Bird Lake and the city beyond while taking a walk along The Boardwalk. The neighborhood is home to many cheap trendy eateries and coffee shops. Visit hotspots like Summer Moon Coffee, Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden, one of the trendy unique places that offer specialty coffee, local beers, craft cocktails & live music along with food trucks all in one area! Getting Around: We recommend that guests rent a car during your stay in Austin as many of Austin’s best attractions and fun things to do are scattered around the city and much more convenient when accessed by car. While there are certainly public transportation options such as buses and individual transportation options such as scooters/bikes/mopeds, these options are mainly convenient and readily available around the downtown Austin area and quickly becomes sparse even a couple miles outside of city center. Rideshare apps such as Uber and Lyft are also great options but expenses can quickly add up as Austin rideshare rates are on the higher end and can surge very high during busy times, such as 2AM on weekends and during large events such as SXSW, conferences, F1, etc. Other Things to Note: ★★★ PRE-STAY GUEST VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED ★★★ To abide by all legal requirements and property security rules, you may be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, pass through our verification portal, and/or, in some instances, complete a criminal background check. Guests who book more than 24 hours in advance will be able to check-in by 4 pm. \- We provide all of our guests a starter kit of consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, etc. Guests can purchase any additional consumables from nearby grocery stores that you think you might need during your stay beyond what's included in the starter kit. \- The apartment complex may run maintenance or clean the gym, and other shared amenities as they see fit at any time. Please be aware. \- Please be aware that Texas is known for having all sorts of bugs and creatures, especially during the summer, that wander around and can sometimes get into the home. Bugs and creatures such as silverfish, earwigs, cockroaches/waterbugs, scorpions, spiders, wasps, mosquitoes, flies, snails, moths, ants, etc. are all very common in Texas and the South in general, and might show up in the home from time-to-time. The presence of a few of these critters does not indicate any sort of infestation in the home, as usually it's just the critters trying to escape the blistering heat or the freezing cold like everyone else. \- A $200 security deposit is required as part of the check-in process. This deposit is held to cover any incidentals or potential damages during your stay and will be refunded after check-out, provided no issues are identified. Guests also have the option to pay a non-refundable $35 damage waiver add-on that can cover up to a specified amount of accidental damage in lieu of the security deposit. Pets ARE allowed depending on size and are subject to pet fees. Please let us know beforehand and add the pet count to the reservation and be upfront about bringing a pet to avoid cancellation. The king size bed was very comfortable, and it is quiet at night. I was disappointed that several key amenities were missing- pool towels weren't provided, no spatulas in the kitchen for eggs, no mirror other than in the bathroom which has no fan. It is older building. Several streaming sites were in Spanish and I was unable to switch to English. The host and service fees are a bit high, so I would compare. All in all, we had a nice stay. The location was close to where we wanted to visit, rental car is mandatory. It was not very clean, coffee maker didn’t work, constant gurgling from the tub drain was inconvenient, no sheets on the bed seemed odd... The management company did communicate well, the check in and checkout was smooth, but we will not stay here again. ##### Grady H. The listing was very accurate, the home was clean, equipped with everything we needed and Steven & Jennifer made everything such a breeze. This first floor unit (there are a few steps you have to take down to enter) offered was easy to access and we had no problem parking our truck. I work remote and had no issues with the WiFi. The smart TV also had many options of things to watch. The fans in the living room and bedroom really put off some air, and we appreciated that! There was a cute coffee shop within walking distance and downtown Austin and the university were less than a 30 minute drive. We would definitely book here again. Close to everything we wanted to go and do. Fantastic coffee shops & BBQ close by in every direction. Summer moon and Terry Blacks were two that we loved. We loved having a kitchen to save some money cooking a few meals. The hosts provided pots, pans, utensils which made it convenient.
