The Space
Our 1930s guesthouse was remodeled extensively to meet modern life style. No off-gassing from new building materials, no germy carpets, Safe and Eco-Friendly. The guest house is located in the heart of Austin Texas.
We are a professional couple living in a separate structure on the same property, so we are here to help you to get situated and enjoy what Austin has to offer.
We maintain the house with the Green Cleaning in mind. It is healthier to our guests and good for the environment. You don't want to inhale the heavy cleaning chemical smell. The property is surrounded by 100+ year-old Pecan Trees, and dozens of fruit trees. We also have an organic vegetable garden, so you might see us in the yard weeding or harvesting some vegetables. You will see trees from all 4-side windows; hence, we named our guesthouse The Pecan Tree House. The Pecan Tree House ATX is on the second level of the storage space below, no adjoining living spaces.
Either you are on a business trip to downtown Austin, UT football game, or attending so-many-popular festivals, we are in a great residential neighborhood near downtown, it is very convenient to access many parts of Austin, and parking is free and abundant on our driveway or on a dead-end street.
Walking distance to UT campus and popular coffee shops and restaurants. If you are inclined to cook a gourmet meal, you have a full kitchen with all cookware. One of the largest grocery stores (HEB) is only a half mile away. If you want to sweat off a few Austin BBQ, the awesome Hancock Golf Course and the Greenbelt is just around the corner from the property.
The kitchen includes coffee maker, four-burner gas cooktop/oven, refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven and dishwasher, enjoy appliances like Vitamix, Dyson, Cuisinart and Air Purifiers.
The bedroom area includes a couple of built-in closet storage areas with plenty of hanging space, drawers. The bed is a Queen size, Sealy adjustable bed; you have to try the zero-gravity relaxation on this bed. We offer I-can’t-live-without-it USB charging stations at all tables and desks.
The office area includes desk/chair and stacked clothes washer/dryer in a closet for your longer stay. So travel light and enjoy Austin more.
The bathroom is inside of the bedroom suite, it offers spa-like shower experience, a bidet seat when you have to go and a Dyson hair-dryer so you don’t have to pack the bulky hair dryer.
The living room offers windows on all 3-sides, total of 5 windows with great treetop view, the comfortable sofa can be converted into a queen size bed, accommodating up to 4 guests at this house.
The bedroom and the living room both have HD TVs and Bose and LG sound systems which provides cable channels and movies from Netflix for your downtime on a lazy day.
