Walk to Viaduct Harbour, minutes from Commercial Bay, Queen Street, and iconic Auckland spots. This bright, airy apartment has all necessities for a comfortable stay! Important - make sure to read through the Other Things to Note section below. We have a lot of useful information there that is essential to know for your stay. The Space: This stylish apartment comes with your own small balcony with doors that fully open for great air-flow, a full kitchen with all the necessities and a King size bed! Here at Zodiak Stays, we provide our guests with free unlimited WIFI, towels and bed linen, as well as a welcome pack of starter amenities, and we use a high quality cleaning company so the apartment will be perfect for your arrival. We have all the amenities and facilities you will need to make your stay in Auckland as comfortable as possible: \- Free WiFi - Super fast and unlimited! \- Coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper \- Shampoo, body wash and conditioner This space comes with a wardrobe, comfy couch, smart TV, portable heater and fan. Washer and dryer are located in the bathroom along with hairdryer! Kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and all the other essentials. There is no parking on this premises but there is some street parking available just outside the building at cost. There are parking buildings nearby at cost. Maritime parking building is closest- Evenings & Weekends 6pm - 6am $6 first half hour and $7 per half hour afterwards to a daily max of $25\. Mon - Fri 6am-midnight $6 first half hour and $7 per half hour afterwards to a daily max of $55. Please note that the bedroom is located upstairs! Guest Access: Guest have access to the entire property The Neighborhood: Everything you need is within walking distance from the apartment! Here are some suggestions for things to see and do on your visit to Auckland: The Viaduct - the best bars and restaurants in the city! The New Zealand Maritime Museum is here, as well as Silo Park where you can watch outdoor films for free in the evening. You can also catch ferries from here to the amazing islands in the Hauraki Gulf like Waiheke, Tiritiri Matangi, and Rangitoto, as well as go on a whale and dolphin safari. Federal Street - next to the Sky Tower (you can't miss it!) There are a lot of really nice bars and restaurants and cafes in this street, as well as the Sky City Casino and of course the Sky Tower. Dine at the top of tower at restaurant with the best views in Auckland, and jump off the Sky Walk to get down Aotea Square - Auckland's cultural centre. Surrounding the square you'll find the Town Hall, Aotea Centre, Event cinemas, and two theatres (The Civic and the Q). The square itself is a nice place to people watch and sip some coffee. An ice-rink is the main attraction here during winter. Albert Park, Art Gallery and the Museum - Albert Park is a lovely place where you can chill and read, and the Auckland art gallery is next door on Wellesley Street. If you keep walking up Wellesley Street, past Auckland University, and across Grafton Road, you will eventually find Auckland Domain which is the biggest park in Auckland and has the Auckland War Memorial Museum, as well as an amazing botanical garden. Karangahape Road (a.k.a 'K' Road) - If you head up the hill on Queen Street, you'll eventually reach K Road, where you'll find Auckland's alternative night scene. Many great bars, live music, shisha cafes, and cheap takeaways are what K Road is known for. Ponsonby – If you head West of the CBD, you will find the Ponsonby area. There is old colonial-style architecture there, many great stores for shopping, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Some of the best restaurants in Auckland are here, especially great for fine dining as this is an up-market area of Auckland. Apart from these mini adventures, Queen Street (main street the city) is filled with shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, live music venues, and more! Make sure you explore High Street as well, which lies just parallel to Queen Street. That whole area is very nice to walk, relax, or dine out in, and tends to be a bit cheaper than Queen Street if you want to do some shopping. If you want to explore further Auckland then you can take a walk towards the Viaduct from the apartment. There you will find Britomart station. (Bus and train) Getting Around: There is the SkyBus to and from the Airport to the city, or via taxi. For trains, buses, and ferries: Britomart bus and train station/Wynyard Wharf Ferry Terminal and Downtown Pier 4\. You can also use the Lime Scooters to get around the city, as well as Uber (or Zoomy – NZ’s version of Uber). Other Things to Note: Monthly Stays: We have a 10% discount factored into the price if you book for 28 nights or more. Key Pick-Up: The key will need to be picked up from a secure location in the Viaduct (office is called Keyp-It and it is located to the left of 16 Market Place), which is a 2 minute walk or 1 min drive away from the apartment. They provide 24/7 access to keys via lockboxes. This is a different location to the property you’ll be staying at. Please double-check if this suits you and ask us if you have any questions or concerns before booking. They also have free WiFi access at Keyp-It in case you need the internet to contact us. We will send you the full check-in instructions on the morning of your arrival date. Parking: We do not have a free carpark for this building but nearby paid parking options are available. Personal Check-ins: We can arrange for someone to meet you at the property for a $85 fee. Please inquire before booking to check availability - we will need at least two days notice to guarantee someone can meet you. Check-in Time: Check-in time is after 3pm. If you need to check-in earlier, then please double-check with us first so we can confirm availability. Amenities: We provide a starter pack of amenities to last you the first few days of your stay: 450ml shampoo and conditioner, 450ml bodywash, 2x tea/coffee, 3x toilet paper rolls, 1 pack of laundry powder, 1 pack of dishwashing powder, dishwashing liquid, cleaning spray and wipes, but you will need to purchase your own amenities after these run out. Kitchen & bath have all the basics.Our checkin was flubbed (1.5 hours later than guarantee plus super hard to get a straight answer while we waited around with our luggage) and a broken freezer was never fixed (after 3 asks) -- I put it down to the 3rd party manager Zodiak.
