Liberty Cabin, 3 blocks from Lake Superior, near Pictured Rocks and trail access

This recently remodeled property is located right in AuTrain only 15 minutes from Pictured Rocks. You'll be able to catch the sunset just with a 5 minute walk to AuTrain Beach and enjoy the river or Lake Superior. This house was stripped down to the studs and completely remodeled top to bottom inside, finished on September 2021. You will find a cozy yet modern interior and plenty of room to enjoy with friends and family with accommodations for up to 8 guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with stainless-steel appliances. You'll find a really nice campfire area in the fenced in yard setup to enjoy the outdoors along with a swing to relax after a long day of exploring. There are 3 bedrooms total, one with (1) King, another one with (1) Queen bunk bed and one with (2) Twin bunk beds. Amenities include a washer/dryer, dishwasher. All bedding, linens, towels, paper towel and toilet paper is supplied. If this place doesn't have it, we will get it for you. There is WiFi, one TV, a large gas grill, and a free canoe/kayak rental is included. (discounts for additional canoe/kayaks is available during the Summer). There is a stall in the garage that is available for your use as well for parking or working on your toys!.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Was larger than the picture shows. Especially liked all the seating area in front of the TV. Was in a great location not too far from Munsing. The Ice Cream shop was fantastic. The Host was very quick to respond to my questions. He recommended a great restaurant we just lobed. Would love to go back some day.

Very Nice Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much. The cabin was clean and quiet with plenty of room and the fenced in yard was a plus for our dogs. We would stay here again!!!

Great place!

We stayed for a long weekend with friends. The place was clean, easy to find, and in a great location to explore the UP! The fenced in yard, firepit and dog friendly atmosphere were a HUGE plus. We would definitely come back.

Great place!

This place was well priced to start but very accommodating with dishes, toiletries, etc. The yard was fenced in with a privacy fence so our dog was able to roam free in a well sized yard. It’s a quiet neighborhood very close to everything we needed and wanted to do and the beach across the street was amazing.

Loved this place!

We loved this property. Especially having dogs and kids the yard was wonderful! Au Train was a perfect little town and we loved walking to the beach and the outpost for ice cream every night to watch the sunset. Au train is very close to Munising but offers an incredible beach and small town setting. We hope to be back!

Awesome location

A walk from the beach was the highlight for us. More than enough room for 3 adults and 3 kids. House was clean, fenced in, and perfectly described. Great central location for us to venture west to Marquette for a day and spend another working our way east checking out waterfalls and pictured rocks.

Great place to stay

Everyone enjoyed the place! Location was not far from Pictured Rocks, which was our main reason for being in the area. The cabin was perfect for our group of four, but had plenty of room for more. The host was very easy to work with and responded quickly to any messages that I sent him. Would definitely try to rent this place again!

Great Stay!!!

The experience was really good. Rooms were clean. Washrooms were clean. We were surprised to see there was no bath soap, and number of towels were less for group of 8 people.

The house was so easy to get to & looked very nicely kept even before entering. The yard inside the fence was very spaceous & perfect if you have a dog like myself. Inside the house was so cute & had a balance of rustic & modern comfort.

Great Cabin in a Great Location

We loved our stay at Liberty Cabin! We walked to the local grocery and pizza/ice cream store right down the street for necessities and extras. Both had a great selection of beers and the pizza and ice cream were delicious. The fire pit at the cabin made for a fun conversation area. The location to the UP attractions in the area and the short walk to Lake Superior made for a fantastic location. Would love to return here again.

Perfect grandkids and grandparents trip

Set up was very good. More living room seating than any place we’ve stayed. Giant tvs that worked great. Kitchen had all we needed. Fridge cooled quickly. And we loved the fire pit. Lake Superior is a fantastic destination.

Fun with family

The cabin was cozy and clean, with an open floor plan.the showers nice and warm after a day of ATV riding. The only down fall was not enough outdoor lighting in the parking area. A overall enjoyable weekend.

Welcome retreat

Convenient location, modern, clean and incredible customer service. I was having trouble accessing the house because of a high step. We let them know about it and they made a step to help me get in. Beautiful area convenient to Pictured Rocks and Marquette. Great experience!

Au train visit

Property was very clean, quiet and accommodating. Had plenty of room, and well stocked. We did not like the beds- too hard- but we know it’s hard to please everyone. Definitely will come back.

Annual UP Trip

Better than the pictures, nice layout, well stocked but not at all cluttered. Great fenced yard, convenient location for all of our day trips. Kayak rental was a little pricey but it was everyone’s favorite day so was worth it. Loved having the beach/river within walking distance. No complaints from anyone about this home, it ended up being a perfect fit for our family that consisted of 3 adult couples and 2 dogs. Will definitely book another stay.

The house is very nice , I tend to spend too much time searching for a place because I’m always worried I wont make a good choice, especially when others are staying . Everyone was happy with this place. A couple important things; not a lot of the houses have 2 bathrooms, this one does which is one reason I chose it ,, two full baths . Another very nice amenity is a large completely fenced in yard for children or pets , lot of pretty trees ,a fire pit and chairs , a nice deck with a picnic table with a nice grill and a nice wooden swing . The living room has 3 nice leather couches, if you have a large family that’s a nice feature . Very easy walk to beautiful Lake Superior to see a gorgeous sunset . About 30 minutes from Marquette & 10 minutes to Munising . Au Train is a small town without a lot but there is a nice small store very close and a pizza shop also very close & not far from the larger towns . Liberty Cabin also has a nice fireplace, although we didn’t really get to enjoy it much because the weather was warm for the first week of October. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it .

Peace for humans and dogs alike

We had a very peaceful, relaxing visit at this Au Train cabin. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there is lots of counter space for eating and games alike, the couches are comfortable, and the yard is perfect for dogs (enclosed and private). The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans, etc. The town is not much, but perfectly quaint. We truly appreciate the three block walk to Au Train's phenomenal beach, as well as the home's proximity to Marquette, Munising, and endless outdoor adventures. I would rent this place again in a hreatbeat.

UP TRIP

Place was as expected. Beds comfy. Showers were hot and water pressure was great. Rain wiped out our firepit use. Fireplace inside made the chilly nights cozy. Clean towels, some cooking utensils, but we ate out dinners each night. Highly recommend Brownstone. We'd stay again.

Nice retreat - lots of room

We were three retired couples and a dog. The location was very convenient to Pictured Rocks destinations and central to both ends of the UP. The house has a fully fenced yard which was very nice for the dog. The house could use some mugs since not everybody is a dainty coffee drinker, and the supply of silverware was sort of slim, too. But everything worked and the kitchen had plenty of pots and pans and such for us.
