One interesting thing about the Akita Castle Hotel is that it is a repository for famous artists and artworks. It has an original Picasso! "We enjoyed our stay at this hotel as it is in a very convenient location (<5 minutes from the JR station). The staff were nice and we were checked in fairly quickly. There are 4 laundry machines for this hotel to be used by the guests and we did not experience any long wait times. The only thing I was not a fan of were the pillows as they were kind of hard and not comfortable to sleep on. "
