Room size very good, two beds, and a good seating area plus table and chairs out side room overlooking balcony. Worth a visit if you like to be in amongst it all and feel a bit of the character of the place. I had great fun in a local Becak travelling all over town. Could not see all the sights due to high number of people celebrating, and presendential visit. I went to water palace and paid for a guide and learnt a fare amount about the place. If want cheap deals on clothes etc go to the market not the fancy shops. Overall good experience but you have to accept early morning prayers may wake you up. Plenty of good food around the area too! Only grip I have was how the shampoo and soap were out from day 1 of my stay and was never refilled. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant but rooms are old and not being given much attention. To be honest i was expecting something much nicer from the pictures... Not a horrible experience but I’m sure there’s better options in the area. It's a modest size which is perfect because we prefer smaller/medium sized hotels. Excellent staff - very attentive and courteous. Close to the silver village of Kota Gede and other artisan areas that are famous in Jogja. Located on a road that is popular with Western tourists - so there's plenty of conveniences close by like bars, money exchanges, taxis, travel agents and even a supermarket. There is NO WIFI in the rooms as it is indicated in the description of the rooms there is only WIFI at the reception. The worst is that the management takes their customers for fools. They tried to tell me that WIFI is just currently not available - but there has never been an installation on the floors. Location is great, it's on a quiet street, filled with lots of eating places and easy access to transportation. Malioboro St is approx 10 mins away by becak.
