"From arrival we felt comfortable and welcome. The cottage and surrounds were very special. The owners have put a lot of thought into comfort and enjoyment for their guests. After taking in the initial beauty and serenity of the place we entered to find a bucket of feed with which to feed the goats. Comfortable beds and bath, nicely furnished, light and cheerful. Lots of back roads to explore and several good meals at the Perch. Couldn’t have been nicer!"

"The cottage is clean and have a positive atmosphere. Surrounding nature makes the place very relaxing. We loved the fire place. Carport next to the cottage was so helpful. The direction of getting to the cottage was a bit confusing. One of the reasons we booked this cottage was having a spa but we couldn't use the Spa as it was so cold and by the time it got to the right temperature it was bed time. We were disappointed as we expected a ready to use spa like other places. "

"Equipment - TVs, disc players drastically need updating. For the rates charged the present arrangements are simply not good enough, especially as the site is so isolated. Instructions to operate the spa in the studio would be a good idea - we never did solve that one! It would be good if the spa jets in Bedroom 1 worked!!! A fridge needs to be located in the kitchen. I found it annoying to have to trek to the utility area whilst cooking. Management needs to advise guests of the isolation...

"Bad smell in unit when we first walked in. We discovered it after 24hrs. Smell coming from drain tray on the back of the fridge with rotten milk in it. Can’t fault the amount of towels for unit. Had to wait quite awhile at reception to get pool towels. No one at front reception to check out."
