"The room was very clean, modern, and spacious! The bed was comfortable and the sheets were really nice. The TV however wasn't working well but that's ok. Would stay here again next time. "

"We celebrated my daughter's upcoming wedding with a shower at the Meritage for a girls weekend stay. We had stayed here three other times but didn't have any issues when reserving directly with the property. This time, we reserved through Expedia and was satisfied with the price of the room through this platform; however, was misled on price expectation. According to Expedia's website, it stated total price I'd be paying, but when I checked in, the front desk charged me over almost $200 more for one night because there were other fees including parking (which we never had to pay for in the past), resort fees, and other taxes. This was not a positive experience and started our vacation with a negative feeling. Wish this was disclosed on Expedia's website. Travelers beware. We did enjoy our room and the property itself."

"This may be a cute, smaller property, but the lack of privacy is a serious issue. While I was out, the front desk called me to ask if I had left my pet alone in the room. That is not a normal hotel experience and felt extremely intrusive. After I confirmed that someone was in the room, the front desk attendant abruptly said, “I’ll check again,” and hung up on me. I called back to ask if staff were entering or monitoring my room, and the same Saturday evening desk attendant became defensive and combative instead of providing a clear answer. The entire situation felt unsettling and inappropriate. It came across as if guests are being watched and questioned, which is not acceptable when you are paying for a hotel stay. If you expect basic privacy and professional service, I would strongly recommend staying at a larger, well-managed pet-friendly hotel instead."

"We only stayed for one night but we definitely plan to come back! The Delta King is a boat and it’s pretty cool! It’s on the river in the middle of old Sacramento. The front desk people are very friendly and valet was very easy to use, I highly suggest using the valet. The rooms are tiny but remember it’s an old historical boat. We were there for a concert so we really only were in the room to sleep. But there is so much to do and see around the Delta King you’re not going to want to just sit in the room. It was also very clean!!! I was actually surprised at how clean the room was for being a boat. The only thing we couldn’t figure out was the AC and I’m sure if we had asked the front desk they would have helped us but we didn’t even need it since it was a cold day anyways and I’m always cold lol. But seriously it was a great stay!"

"The best Hotel stay. Waffles were a little over cooked. Other than that this is one of the only hotels I will stay at."

"Right from arrival we were greeted by staff opening our car doors & helping with luggage. Our room was so beautiful! Nice deep tub, hot shower with multiple shower heads, robes & slippers. Restaurant staff was so attentive & food was delicious- had all 3 meals there over our 2 days. Will definitely recommend for anyone coming to the area!"

"Very noisy inside. The walls and doors are thin enough to hear the people in the room next to you cough or lift the toilet seat. The sound of doors opening and closing or people talking in the hallways all throughout the night will be sure to keep you up. If not that, then the highway noise will probably do it."
