Old historical pub which was only a short walk to Windsor Castle. It could do with a freshen up. Friendly, helpful staff made our stay most enjoyable.

It was charming and lovely, just as described, with Windsor Castle very close by. We got there too late for food (after 9 pm) but they gave us ideas for food nearby (The Brasserie was wonderful!). The bed was comfy. Bathroom very small but this was built in 1753 so my expectations were that it would be so. Full English breakfast was amazing and filling. I only wish we didn’t arrive so late due to flight delays. Coffee shop across the street is lovely and friendly!
