"If your looking for tranquility this is the place. I suprised my wife for her birthday with a weekend away and some much needed down time. We canoed the pond and walked the trails. The beaver's occasionally swam by and we were visited by the blue jays and the gray jays. Bring your candles for those candle lit evenings, remember no hydro. The location was easy to find and everthing was as the pics show. If needed you can charge your phone with the solar powered charger and signal strength is good. It got a little chilly at night so popped a log in the wood stove and warmed the cottage nicely. We will definitely be returning to this natural oasis "

"Our stay was great and would recommend for families. Keep in mind there are about 110 steps down to the water from the cabin…. Would never recommend for people who have any kind of mobility issue or are obese. You will hate your life. The cabin itself was somewhat tidy when we arrived but did have to do a fair amount of cleaning on our own. We let Rashid know and he was quick to apologize. There is a slant to the cottage so wouldn’t recommend to those with vertigo. Also keep in mind this is a cottage.. not a 5 star hotel so if you go in expecting pristine matching stuff you will be disappointed. Be realistic and just enjoy the area. The property could certainly use work, there is significant potential with the outdoors but it looks like it has been left for years without outdoor maintenance. Be careful on the stairs… they’re slippery when wet! The lake and the dock are the best features by far and it’s a wonderful place to rest. Water slide is fun and water is perfect for swimming! Overall, great stay because of the water and rashid was quick to respond and a wonderful host"

"WOW! What a great experience. I have stayed in places all over Ontario and around the world, and while not the least expensive place, this was incredibly good value! Exceptional log house, beautifully appointed (it is obvious they used an interior decorator to furnish the place). The entire house was spotless, clean, impeccable! The 6 bathrooms were all finished in Italian ceramic tiles with glass showers beautifully installed. All rooms were very specious surrounded by natural wood and the bedrooms included all linens, towels and bedding which was a nice touch. Great attention to detail like freshly sharpened kitchen caring knives, two automatic dishwashers so we never ran out of clean glasses (imported French ceramics) puzzles and dozens of board games for those rainy days. We had such a great experience with my wife all our children plus their friends with lots of space to spare. It is hard to make everyone happy when you have a large age difference, but the cottage struck a perfect balance – we were even able to work remotely for a few days with the internet without any issue. The property is extremely quiet and private with a massive 600 foot waterfront and a huge acreage for exploring. We will definitely be back. The place is a bargain compared with smaller less well appointed cottages in Haliburton. This place is a find!"
