« Quiet place in the middle of the nature. Good food in the pub of the hotel. Rooms old fashioned. »

« All good, nice clean room, good selection of beers and wine, decent area outside if weather permits, and a very enjoyable meal in the evening. The village itself is very quiet, but would certainly recommend if looking for an overnight stay to break up a journey north or south. »

« I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions and do so because I have confidence that it will be clean and well maintained. This is in contrast to a number of occasions where I have experienced disappointment when staying at other hotels. The general amenity of the Gateway is extremely pleasant and the staff have managed a relaxing and comfortable public area. »

« Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10 »

« Property appears to have been recently made over, everything is new and fresh, extremely clean and although on the small side the rooms are perfect for overnight stays, comfortable bed and with more than enough tea/coffee supplies unlike a lot of places. The continental breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. We could not fault the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall excellent value for money and we will definitely go back »

« Hotel is about 1 miles along a single track road , the water board closed the road , and to get on to main road you had to drive about 4 miles on single track , which was very scary , Hotel had not put any signs up saying about closer , and was no help at all Breakfast was excellant , tried to book resturant on last , was told they had a party and could not fit us in , they had plenty of tables not being used , we pointed out we were clients staying , but no »
