Everything was great with the hotel, staff and service. However, we noticed that at the end of the day it takes forever for the staff to close the day in the computer and balance with the receipts. Is your system very obsolete? Just an observation.

The Water St. Hotel is about the most spectacular hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere, at any price. It is situated on the river, easy walk to the downtown. The room was amazing!! A very well equipped kitchen on the short side. Two large bathrooms, and a large bedroom with a king size four poster bed. All very...

The best area to stay in Wewahitchka is generally within the town centre or along the shores of the Dead Lakes.
The town centre, while small, offers convenience with its local shops and eateries. It's the hub of Wewahitchka, providing easy access to essential services and a glimpse into local life. For those who appreciate being close to amenities and local culture, this is a sensible choice.
For those interested in outdoor activities and a more tranquil setting, accommodation along the Dead Lakes is ideal. This area is famous for its unique cypress and tupelo trees emerging from the water, creating a distinctive landscape. It's superb for nature enthusiasts, particularly those interested in fishing, kayaking, or photography.
When is the best time to go to Wewahitchka?
The best time to visit Wewahitchka is during the autumn and spring months, specifically from October to November and March to April, when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities.
During these periods, the temperatures are mild and comfortable, typically ranging from the low 20s to high 20s Celsius. This makes it ideal for exploring the local natural attractions, such as the Dead Lakes, and enjoying activities like fishing, kayaking, and wildlife viewing without the intense heat and humidity of summer or the cooler, sometimes unpredictable, winter weather.
For those interested in the famous tupelo honey, late April to May is the prime season for the tupelo blossom, which is when the bees produce this unique honey.
