"Beautiful, historic property with a fabulous pool. But rooms desperately need an upgrade. They are dark, heavy, and way overstuffed with velvet and brocade, which is not what one wants in the tropics. The whole property looks like it could seriously use a deep cleaning."

"The room was great. I did have a long dark hair on my sheet when I pulled it back, but the sheets looked and smelled clean and I realize a hair can get washed and dried. It did weird me out a minute. They had lots of amenities and the breakfast was wonderful and the staff very helpful and nice. Shuttles were great from airport and to cruise port. Would def stay there again if in the area. "
