Park Plaza London Riverbank

8/10 Good

"Very good breakfast. Great location for walking along the Thames"

Marlin Waterloo

8/10 Good

"The location is the best thing about the property. It is 5-10 min walk away from the underground station and has many subway lines that you can take. The property is modern and next to a Pret for a quick coffee in the morning and a short walk to many nice restaurants. When we arrived, check in was fast but when we got to our room, I was disappointed that I did not get the king bedroom that I reserved. Upon speaking with the front desk, I was told that the king beds in London are smaller than in other countries. I am from Canada and saw the photos, the king size bed was huge. I insisted that there was an error made and was eventually told that I was 'upgraded' to a room with a kitchenette but a smaller bed. Sorry, that is hardly an upgrade. If I wanted a kitchen, I would have booked that room. You should have asked me before making the change. No apologies from anyone for the error. Not impressed. We were rushed to get changed for a show and we lost 30 min from this error. Rooms are cleaned every second day so with our three night stay, we didn't mind. Only problem was the cleaner left a dirty rag on the night table. I've stayed all over the world in many different hotels and this has never happened. Lastly, every morning at 9am, someone knocked on our door. First morning, they had to change the shower head due to mold. Second day, the cleaner knocked. Bed wasn't bad but the pillows were standard pillows for a king bed. Overall, it was okay but I may not stay here again."

Apex Temple Court Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The property is beautifully maintained and in a very good location for exploring on foot, by transit or other modes of transport. The beds and linens are plush/very comfortable and the staff is very helpful. The only issue we had was that we had booked a room with a city view which was not available upon our arrival. As well, wayfinding lighting on the exterior of the property should be better timed to diminishing daylight hours (we visited in October) as delay in these be activated in darkness poses a fall/injury risk to those coming in through the courtyard. That said it was a delightful stay and I’d certainly book at this hotel again in the future. Very nice."

Club Quarters Hotel St Paul's, London

8/10 Good

"Slight problem with self check-in was rapidly resolved by a very helpful guy on reception. Room was fine although I personally wished to lower the ac but that was resistant - fortunately and gratefully able to open a window slightly. The guy running the cafe bar in reception was very keen to help and made a good impression. The location was perfect for an early start the following day. Overall a good experience."
