"This did not match at all what the photos showed. Check in was not smooth. Nobody was there. There must be a disconnect between this cottage and Expedia because apparently they didn’t have my phone number even though I entered everything on Expedia. Buildings are way older and run down. It is cute, cozy and clean. It just depends on your trip and activity. We were there for a night and needed a place to sleep in. We needed something smooth, quick and convenient and this wasn’t it. But if you’re making an outdoor adventure trip in the mountains with your family or friends and needed a pace to stay longer term, This will work perfect. Bathroom was the best part of this whole place (for us). Staffs were a hit or miss. We had to speak to more than 1 staff on the phone. 2 were helpful and one was not at all."

"We had an excellent vacation in the redwoods - and this cabin is right in the heart of the southern end of the redwoods...near Prairie Creek Center. The cabin is tidy and spacious. There are three nice large bedrooms and the kitchen is awesome! Very well-stocked to cook, serve and eat with ease. The washer and dryer were a bonus - since we got dirty on our hikes and beach adventures. The check-in and out were a breeze. As noted, it is not located near any grocery stores or restaurants. Which was fine for us - but plan to stop for groceries well before Orick and plan to drive at least 30 minutes to the nearest town for other supplies if needed. Loved that there is a firepit with chairs, smores supplies and board games. The redwoods and beaches were amazing and we LOVED our time in the area! "

"What an amazing home base for the Redwoods!! We stayed a few days and were able to walk to trails, drive a few miles to well known hiking sites, the beach, park stations, and a whole lot more. Carole was very good about letting us know to shop for groceries before we got there and was friendly, informative and responsive. The farmhouse is very cozy and our boys enjoued the lofts. We had a great time exploring the forests, learning about the area, history of logging, whaling and a lot more. We could have happily stayed another week. A memorial spring break for the whole family :)"

"We fish this area a couple times a year and this place is perfect for a couple of guys who fish 12 hours days for 3 days and need a clean place to sleep. Staff has alway been great, and rooms always clean, don’t leave any thing your car of value, because it won’t be there in the morning. "
