We had an amazing time staying in this beautiful home! It is very spacious and well kept. We did many hikes and the attractions were not to far north or south! I would 100% recommend for a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Redwood Forest!
Absolutely adorable home in an amazing location. Super easy to get to the Redwoods. Home was so clean and lovely inside. We would definitely stay here again. There isn’t service in this area, so next time I will remember to take a picture of the check in information. Even that was ok because someone showed up to help. Great experience!
Great location for Fern Canyon and Redwoods trip. Very well stocked and newly remodeled. Owner was prompt with their reply to my questions. Elk right down the road; evidence they were on this property but we didn’t see any this time.
Redwood National & State Parks were on our bucket list and this cabin seemed ideally located for our trip and it was. Easy drives north or south brought us to amazing forest hikes or coastal beach walks. The cabin had exactly the space we needed for visiting family from the San Franscisco region on the weekend. Great memories. Don't usually return to places we been to but this experience may change our minds.
The cabin was exceptional….cleanliness and more than enough supplies . Charlene went above and beyond making our stay more than comfortable. We have stayed at over 25 VRBO’s. Believe me when i say we can be pretty picky…great job Charlene. Very close to Redwood National Park Visitor Centers. Thanks for sharing Charlene
The cabin was well stocked and maintained. It was comfortable and an awesome location. Two of the three days we were there the elk were just outside our front door. Communication from the host was unbelievably clear and complete. Highly recommended!!
The property was better than the pictures. A nice creek right behind the house with forest. Inside is new, clean, good windows, and best of all, the house is stocked better than many of the rentals we have stayed in. Finally, Prairie Creek Redwoods are so close we came back for lunch and coffee between hikes in the park. Host and other help available if needed. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank You.
The cabin was just adorable. Everything was clean and modern and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the dishware, utensils, pots and pans, etc. Fridge was clean. Microwave was new. Everything was spit spot!
Bedrooms were very comfortable.
We will come back!
Hop(e) Cottage is truly in the heart of the redwoods and we enjoyed staying there for both the convenience and cleanliness. It is just minutes to some of the best hiking in the parks. Once inside, you will find it very clean and thoughtfully appointed with everything you could possibly need (including things that are really appreciated like extra towels, food storage bags and containers, and sharp knives!). The one critique I would offer is that it isn't absolutely clear from the listing that the house is in a small RV park (Heart of the Redwoods Cottages and RV) just a few short yards from Highway 101. There isn't much else around there, so it is probably your best bet when staying in the Orick area, but be prepared to pull into a roadside RV park when you arrive. We weren't prepared, and although we enjoyed our stay, it was a bit of a surprise for us when we got there.
Fantastic place. Most often the place is not as nice as the pictures, but that was not the case. So many little details of comfort were taken care of and you could not ask for a better location. It was so clean and comfortable. Many places that sleep a lot of people don’t have a table to seat everyone or even the right kitchenware to cook for everyone, but this place had both. It was spacious and so nice. We will definitely stay here again if we have a chance to go back to the redwoods.
This was the perfect Redwoods vacation spot! The home was in the perfect location for visiting Prairie Creek Park, Golds Bluff Beach, Fern Canyon (my favorite) and many beautiful hiking trails. On our arrival we were greeted by elk just 20ft from the cabin eating blackberries. It was such a treat seeing them right from the back porch and kitchen window! The house had everything you could need. The beds were super comfy, the house was clean and there was a large table for family dinners and game nights. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Redwoods. There are no close places to eat so make sure you stop at a grocery store before arriving. If you do want to go out to eat there are some pretty good places within a half hour drive.
